It's been a while since I flew this plane because I was waiting for the update. Now that it's finally here I'm excited to fly it again! One question: how do you load coroutes into the fmc? What folder and format should they be in?

The included manual with the aircraft has the answer, document file '2-interface guide.pdf' over the COROUTES section.

-the flight plan should reside on a folder named 'coroutes' under the 737 root folder

-ixeg supports .fpl format (filename no more than 10 characters length)

-to load go to the FMC press RTE page 1, type on the scratchpad the filename (with no extension .fpl) and press CO ROUTE softkey

note: make sure the airac cycle used to create the route and the airac cycle loaded on the fmc matches, otherwise you risk the fmc will not recognize waypoints, airways, whatever

Thanks alot Jude thats a great program, are you loading your plans manually into the 737 or saving them to the coroutes folder?

i tried saving a plan in the .fpl format but when loaded it the fmc said invalid coroute format

Manually creating from the FMC. I save the file without the SID and STARS, and add them in depending on the arrival / departure used for the current weather.

Yes I found it's easier to enter the flight plan manually into the FMC, then to save it.  Creating a plan outside of ixeg and loading it has been nothing but a source of issues for me.  Wouldn't it be nice if all FMCs loaded Garmin flight plans....
