Benedeczky Posted April 15, 2017 Report Posted April 15, 2017 Hello, I'm having a problem with the IXEG 733. I never had a problem with it in X-Plane 10 and for the most part didn't have a problem in X-Plane 11 (besides APU), but now I don't know what changed, whenever I start a flight, within 10 minutes of the flight, all my instruments turn off. The plane still flies well, but it's as if my generators are not on, but they are on. Not even the external lights are flashing. Does anyone know how to fix this? Happens from cold and dark and turn around state, I haven't tried ready to fly yet. Thanks! Joni Quote
vesalius Posted April 16, 2017 Report Posted April 16, 2017 Hi Joni, It does sound like battery drain. Your GEN switches may be in the ON position, but they will not feed your electrical bus if they are in fact INOP/broken. Did you check the Amps meter to have a positive readout on the battery charge? All the best, Vital Quote
Litjan Posted April 16, 2017 Report Posted April 16, 2017 Right - the generator switches don´t stay in an "on" position - they will default (spring loaded) to the middle position. To connect the generators you must toggle them to the ON position momentarily. I suggest to watch the tutorial videos on startup from cold+dark, they should clarify the correct procedure. Jan Quote
vesalius Posted April 16, 2017 Report Posted April 16, 2017 Indeed, sorry for the confusing help. Ofcourse they are spring loaded. I just did a test on the tarmac. The instruments should go black immediately after powering down the APU if you haven't connected the generators. Quote
