marpilot Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 I need a solution as the problem makes me crazy now. I put here a link to the longer description. Thank you Quote
Tom Stian Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Are you sure you have done it right with the exclusion ? For exceptions/exclusion with G-Data you can follow this guide. https://help.gdatasoftware.com/b2c/GDAV/2014/en/index.html?410057.htm Make sure you exclude the X-Plane folder. Not subfolders of X-Plane. 1 Quote
marpilot Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Posted February 27, 2017 Yes I am sure. The strange thing is I have once resolved this problem in december and it came again just yesterday Quote
Tom Stian Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) That is strange. Could you start task manager and see what process that takes up your CPU when you have this issue ? edit: a screenshot of the task manager would be nice Edited February 27, 2017 by Tom Stian Quote
marpilot Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Posted February 27, 2017 One screenshot befor entering DIR to and second right after....Added a log - I stopped XP. Log.zip Quote
Tom Stian Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Do the same, but with the "Procesy" -tab open .. I want to see what process that are eating up your CPU. Quote
mmerelles Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 These screenshots confirm the CPU is going to hell once you introduce changes on the FMC but we need to see what -process- is consuming the CPU. On the task manager clic the tab 'process' and sort them by cpu usage column. Check what the status is before and after introducing changes to see what process consumes the cpu Quote
poodster Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 What is your cpu? Also what hard drive are you using. Is it internal or external? Quote
marpilot Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Posted February 27, 2017 2 screenshots - the monitor went black for 5 mins and still in this state....G data Filesystem Monitor service went up to 43%. But why? With all these exluded folders??? Quote
Tom Stian Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) Now we can confirm that it is G-Data that is causing the stutter/freezing. For testing, can you try to uninstall it or make sure you have set the exception correct ? take a screenshot of the exception settings. Edited February 27, 2017 by Tom Stian Quote
Tom Stian Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) Or take contact with G-Data support for help with setting up the exception correct. Edited February 27, 2017 by Tom Stian Quote
marpilot Posted February 27, 2017 Author Report Posted February 27, 2017 Well, I turned off " G data Filesystem Monitor service " with right click in task manager left Win Defender ON at it works fine now I wonder if I have to turn this every time I am in IXEG 733. Anyway, thank you very much gentlemen for your help and advice This is good end of the day ! 3 Quote

marpilot Posted February 28, 2017 Author Report Posted February 28, 2017 Eventually unistalled G-DATA antivirus and Win Defender with excluded xp folders works fine, so that now FMC runs smoothly Happy landings pilots! Quote
