Hi all,

I was just doing some training circuits and found out that when using TO/GA, it can be too powerful, such as when your in FLCH (flight level change; LVL CHG) after 400ft AGL. If FLCH is set to 210 after a go-around, the aircraft will manage to go around 225-230knts due to the thrust being 'slow' at reducing from being in TO/GA mode.

Thankyou,

We will look into A/T tuning in the future - but it is a fine balance between it being too springy and too sluggish. The real autopilot will also over- undershoot the target values on occasion, but it shouldn´t do so by 20kts, that is true.

To add to Jan's comments, we lowered some of the A/T gains in 1.0.5 after observing some over enthusiastic behaviour in some modes. We probably overdid it a now it is too docile in some regimes. It's a complex regulator to tweak, with different gains depending on AP pitch modes and such so we'll want to be more thorough in testing these adjustments before we make another patch for it.
