Hi guys

Well after passing T/D and starting the descent, I went on Youtube to watch a video, after several minutes I noticed that VNAV was disengaged and A/T was on ARM mode on the FMA. if i recall correclty, the only way to get back to VNAV was to engage N1 mode or V/S and then press VNAV again to work. A friend had the same issue.

As i wasn't there when the bug appeared, I need people to confirm if they had this odd behaviour.

I would put money on VNAV overspeeding (getting within 10kts of the upper speed limit) due to a steep segment.

isn't the B737 CL smart enough to pitch up when he's dangerously approaching that upper limit ?

Yes, I have the same issue, on my descent (VNAV mode), I put my throttle full back to not overspeed and when I want to put more throttle (because my speed was 10 knots below speed reference, I can't do that.

bitmaps showing AT position works well but the quandrant don't move.

And I have this same issue on landing (landing with SPD mode and pull back throttle on touchdown) and when I want to taxi out, I can't do that, A/T on.

I disconnect A/T, nothing, I must engage A/T, SPD mode and disconnect A/T for taxi out

User error - you need to regain control of your thrust levers as mentioned and shown on the tutorial videos. Please watch them for how to do that.

OK, I must be honest I don't see manuals or videos (I have a little experience, flight sim, not real, on 737 NG)

But if it is an human error, I will read and study video, sorry if I lost your time

Oh, don´t be sorry - I am here anyway ;). But yeah, go ahead and watch a few of those and it should answer quite a few questions you have! Easier than me explaining everything here in the forums :).
