About This File

3d pilots for the Take Command! Hot Start CL650. Myself Steve (Captain) and Cooper (First Officer) of Torquesim.

1) Drop the ppl folder into the Hot Start CL650 object folder. It should look like the image below.

2) In planemaker via Misc Objects you should add the CL650_PILOTS.obj with the coordinates shown in the image. Save and enjoy!

***Backup your original acf file, proceed at your own risk.***
***Do not re-upload these without permission***
***Updates will erase this planemaker work, so be sure to add these to every new acf file.***

Whenever I load up the .acf file in plane maker, it crashes due to out of memory. Did I do something wrong or miss a step?

Are you loading Planemaker with X plane running at the same time? This is the only thing I could think of.

I too tried to upload people into the 650, but when I open plane maker it won't open the acf file. Maybe it is coded not to allow changes?

I'll download your pilots and try again.

Well, I tried it again and it locked up my computer. I had to use task manager to shut down plane maker.

The message said it failed to get a GPU Buffer?????

This is the only plane I have not been able to open in Plane Maker.

Sounds like your GPU can't handle it. Plane Maker is not as forgiving on the GPU as X-Plane itself is.

Why only this plane though?

I am also using some of the latest and greatest in my computer setup:

Allied Gaming Computer - Liquid Cooled AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz on a TUF Gaming B550M-PLUS Motherboard

RAM: 32.0 GB 3600Mhz DDR4

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT     Version: 21.11.1

Display: Z-Edge 32" 1500R,  178 Degree Curved 1080P (1920x1080 FHD),   Refresh Rate = 240Hz,   MPRT = 1ms

Heavy textures and 3D objects is the short answer.

Did you try changing X-Plane to OpenGL first, then entering Plane Maker?

I don't understand "open GL"?

I attached a picture showing the acf file I am telling Plane Maker to open.

Open X-Plane, go to your rendering settings, and turn off Vulkan. Exit the sim and start up Plane Maker.

I'll try it, but how does that effect Plane Maker?

You were able to do it without OpenGL?

My bad for the late reply, yes go into OpenGL and it opened.

OK, I finally got then situated. However, it was a pain in the rear because I could not see them while in PlaneMaker.

My coordinates are slightly different than yours.

Thank you for making them.
