  1. Fair enough! I went with Easyjet to minimise likely adjustments... Then finished it, and moved on to KLM
  2. Brave to go for all those curves without having the object to check they work! The 737 handbook is great if you want to know EVERY TINY DETAIL of the real 737, plus how you'd fly it for a type rating. lots of common emergency talk (e.g. V1 cuts) and flow explanations, with nice diagrams to help. Take a look at the pictures on this store for an idea.
  3. To be honest, the store never went down, and still seems to be going strong. Probably diverted X-Pilot resources to cope
  4. So, you've travelled into the future I'm sure, how much longer do we have to wait?
  5. Its a separate book, very detailed as its designed for real pilots to complete their sim checkride! Worth it if you have the extra cash though.
  6. I saw that too! No checkout yet though...
  7. IXEG have you covered if you like the current livery (image from the store page)! BA retired their -300s ages ago, but they had a few -400s until the end of last year!
  8. I've woken up now, drink in hand, doing work in the background... no going back to bed for me!
  9. How I'm spending my wait - hopefully this can be out relatively soon after release (if I can pull myself out of the flight deck to finish it! )
  10. The store is quality! I've noticed more of a slow-down on this forum than on there, seems the F5-mashing really is being handled!
  11. Seems like none of you spotted this new video, enjoy watching it while mashing F5
  12. Oh ok, are they the White/grey triangles near the centre of the fuselage texture? Was wondering what those are! Hm, I could've sworn I saw a metallic and a white wing. I guess not? Or can we just choose one of those from other liveries if we decide to publish?
  13. Now that's a proper paintkit! Look at all these layers... One question though, where are the wings? I've noticed there are a few wing variants on the supplied liveries, why isn't there a wink kit to play with those? Plus I'd love to paint winglets and I assume they're on that texture (since there's no way of knowing what each part of the map is until I get the model in 5 hours or so). Thanks for this though, now I can have a barebones version of my own livery for launch!
  14. I've got a 5am wake-up... glad I'm tired enough to go to bed early!
  15. Gorgeous video! Really captures how much a labour of love this aircraft has been. Also, oh my gosh that detail! Couldn't be more excited right now... This is a new chapter for X-Plane.
  16. IXEG have already said the manuals are part of the value of the product, so they won't be freely available. If you want some pre-reading though, this book is fantastic - I have it and it is well worth a look. Smartcockpit is also invaluable.
  17. I just re-downloaded that for a trip down memory lane - My first ever published airline livery was for that plane! Oh my! And I only published that 6 months after the very first IXEG video was released - And 1 month before the IXEG blog came online! Oh, and its amazing to think how far we've come... I remember this being jaw-dropping when I first saw it! EDIT: Ok, Ok, so I couldn't resist re-downloading my old file and trying it - I probably haven't set eyes on that work since 2011... By my standards now it is dodgy as (14-year old me would be in awe of me now) but there is really something special about it And hey, still better than I expected from myself!
  18. As long as the front door position is correct in Plane-Maker, then yes. This is so basic even I can do it so I am sure IXEG have set it up! as a rule, it's hard not to have an airliner incompatible with autogate if the designer has any level of competency.
  19. Genuinely can't believe we're only a few days away now! This week is going to be excruciating, but I'm looking forward to an early wake-up on saturday now - 5-7am in the UK is pretty reasonable! Can't wait
  20. I'm studying for ATPL exams - I have mocks on Monday! Now I have to figure out how to justify 733 flight as revision
  21. I'm studying for my ATPLs currently and one of the "standard aircraft" we use (MRJT1) is obviously a 737-400. The performance data available only accommodates flap 5 or 15 take-offs, so perhaps it is a manufacturer-set limit?
  22. It has got me thinking... glad it helps!
