Hi all, I'm either going completely nuts or I was dreaming but I could swear the other day when I loaded up an up and coming beta (freeware) scenery of PHNL It loaded and looked beautiful with Realscenery Oahu. Last night I tried and there was nothing there but the Realscenery mesh and no airport buildings. So anyway, is there a way to go about adding this airport over the top of the mesh ?

AWG Sim - Sky Environment XP Development

After it being pointed out on the awesome loading system for this free addon I downloaded it to test tonight. Anyway, Love the fact that every time you want to use a different "theme" you have to backup your original texture and load the new in hahahahaha. This stuff is getting so tecnologically advanced I'm not sure my system can handle it. Can't wait to copy and paste Cherrio Sky with the burnt umbre colors, then go back and fire up X-Plane, wait for the I'm sure horrible frame rates to again haunt me and try another "theme" and start all over. I wish there was a plugin that would allow you to do all this and not have to copy and paste every time. Oh wait ! There is ! It's called Sky-MAXX Pro. I wish there was a plugin would help my frame rates, well actually increase them massively so some of my payware poly heavy aircraft and scenery would finally be able to flow. Oh wait ! There is ! It's called Sky-MAXX Pro...I'll load up a video and or review later to be sure. -

Hahahah. Yes sort of a class action suit. I usually just read his rediculous rants when I'm feeling blue for a good laugh. -

Actually he probably can't. Some loophole in the system allowed Aerosoft to pay him for his time to uh hmm, develope. They know they can't sell it or you'd be paying for it. Just a guess but if it were anywhere remotely close to the addon Sky-MAXX provides it would be for sale. It is nothing but sky colors and cloud textures. Frame rates I'm sure are not improved. -

No Harry Sky-MAXX isn't a waste of money but reading your redundant troll posts all over the forums are a collosal waste of time. You go right ahead and use that POS addon and keep your frame rates with clouds where they were at before Sky-MAXX. Yep in the toilet. I think my favorite cloud texture in the new addon is the Cheerio Sky and with it's hundreds of lovely little rings. You talk about SMP stuttering yet you continue to stutter and stutter and stutter. Do you really think you're going to destroy SMP with what you're doing ? Got a news flash for ya, you're actually looked at as quite a joke. Maybe you should unplug and go outside and play for a while. You know, basically just get a life dude. Have a swell day. A blee a blee that's all folks... -
You're converting for youerself so there won't be any copyright issues yet you want to connect to a payware system ??? So if you can convert them you want to sell them ? I'm not understanding I guess.

Unfortunately just one 22" 1920x1080 at the moment :-(

Haha thanks. I built to stay beefy for a while but it's already starting to get outdated. This addon though will help anybody no matter what their specs are. I did this test because I've seen a few people that are having trouble using is and basically it's because they refuse to turn off HDR. They may have other issues but I'm seeing the HDR thing.

Need to add KGRR (Gerald R. Ford Intl.) to Grand Rapids Michigan found right here in the downloads section. Very friendly frames and very nice 3D models. Overall extremely nice freeware. Not just saying that cuz I live 30 miles away but only that it's that good.
-
OK so the basic results of my testing are TURN OFF YOUR HDR (for now) and enjoy this wonderful addon. Guy's not once in the history of X-Plane10 has anything impacted frame rates with clouds on like SMP. This addon has done more for frame rates in my humble opinion than any update done by laminar yet. You've got amazing 3D clouds, beautiful skies and added frames with clouds. Whats not to like ?

Ok there seems to be some confusion with a couple people about running the addon Sky-MAXX Pro. It's simple HDR needs to be turned off and I'll prove it with a pretty simple test. There is from what I've read going to be a seamless integration with X-Plane in the very near future but again I have only read that. I'm somewhat of a graphics pig and HDR being off bums me out but sometimes you need to give a little to get a lot. Now, as far as this test is concerned I'm a beta tester (Windows version of Sky-MAXX Pro) so part of my job with this was to point out issues or bugs if you will with data and screenshots. I worked very closey with one of the team John so I do know what I'm talking about and just trying to help out so please bear with me. OK my system specs: Intel i7 2600k @ 4.4 GhzCorsair H80 water coolerASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME IV motherboardMSI GTX 680 4gb DDR532gb Gskill "Ripjaws" 1866 ramCrucial 256 Gb SSDHITACHI Deskstar 7K1000 (1Tb? HDD 7400 RPM)Rosewill BRONZE Series 1000W power supplyWindows 7 Ultimate 64 bit The test model I used was X-Plane10 64bit running the default Baron B58 at 10,000' out of KGRR (Gerald R. Ford Intl) by Mr. Brian Godwin, scattered clouds with a base of 8,000' to tops at 10,000' and using the chase view camera. The scenery is slightly behind me over fields so it's not too heavy. Test #1: X-Plane default clouds with HDR (OFF)Test #2: X-Plane Sky-MAXX Pro with HDR (ON)Test #3: X-Plane SkyMAXX Pro with HDR (OFF) No other plugins were turned on or used at the time of any of the tests and screenshots with fps count were all captured with Fraps. Here are my X-Plane settings with both HDR on and off and all the comparison screenshots with text explaining the test:

Hey if you need a link to a great set of HD taxi signs I know where you can find them You can though save yourself hours of work by just taking them. Oh and if you need a good thunder sound pack he's got one of those too And don't mind Peter, he's just one of those guys that's so passionate about his work it drives him nuts to see people take the easy way out. I've seen him drop more projects at about 80% done and months, yes months of work into because he absolutely refuses to send out incomplete and cobbled work. I know, crazy right ? Every one of the devs mentioned have nothing but respect out there because they have gone over and above to help out and add to the community. Just like positive and negative attention you gotz respect and lack of respect. -

Public domain here, supplied by John there. Freeware work from Pierre here. Freeware work from John there. Seems these days it's easy to find a loophole, package it, sell it. You should try this with FlightGear as it's all free. Oh wait, thats already been done by another opportunist. Come on man, Seriously ? Not knocking what you do (well I am actually) just how you go about doing it. Where did you get the clouds from by the way ? If this post gets me banned or put on vacation for a while I'll take it gladly. You know, there's some real satisfaction in doing the work, owning it and saying look what I did. The things that the two guys that posted on this have done for the community for FREE should remain so. Well thanks for listening and I'm off to find some freeware without any disclaimers to sell. FREE HD MOON ! -
Beautiful pics by the way

Hey John I thought you had Chris sign an NDA about not releasing screens on the 128 bit version of Pro. This is in dev for XP12 and he's not supposed to be doing this. Is there a lawyer in the house ?
-
Hahahahahah. Classic.
-
Yes John is correct about the video speed up in rendering. These were scenes that I was using and capured in slow motion to achive maximum afftect. I did speed them up in rendering anywhere from 60 to 300% so yes the rotation of the clouds is not quite that fast in the simulation itself.
