  1. I have macOS Sierra and I'm also faced with this problem. I've found two possible workarounds, which have worked. 1) Use another computer, with a different OS for decompressing, 2) Download Cisdem BetterUnarchiver trial version and use it for decompressing; it will work for 3 days. José
  2. It isn't a graphics driver specific issue, since I have a Radeon Pro 460.
  3. I'm sorry Frank, not this time, it's too late for that. I will send the file if it happens again. José
  4. I also got a similar effect, don't know if it is reproducible.
  5. The title says it; I was experimenting with settings and x-plane crashed. I've attached the log.txt. José Log.txt
  6. Now I have a more serious problem because all my license slots have been used, I can't activate even the SMP and RWC, which were working fine! EDIT: I don't think filing a ticket will help, given past experience!
  7. Solved! I used a computer with an older OS and it worked; thank you for the tip. José
  8. Thank you Cameron for your reply. Itried with Stuffit Expander and with The Unarchiver always with the same result. José
  9. Hi, My installer for the Cesna Corvallis is broken; this is a fresh download and I have run out of downloads after 3 attempts. The attached image shows the error message. José
  10. Thank you Cameron. I intend to transfer as much as I can from a backup of my present machine, which means Gizmo and X-Aviation plugins will also be transferred; are you recommending that I do not transfer those and instead proceed with new installs from new downloads? José
  11. Hi, I am going to get myself a new computer and I ask what should I do to have all my x-aviation addons transferred to it. I don't intend to fly x-plane on my present machine, once it is running on the new one. Regards, José
  12. Usually this is a symptom of low VRAM; when the VRAM needs swapping with RAM this sort o thing happens. The only solution is to lower the rendering settings until it does not happen anymore.
  13. I'm a long time Mac user too and I can understand Cameron's standing on the business side of the issue; the irony is that I am almost sure it wouldn't be difficult to find someone from the linux community who would do the coding for free, even knowing that he would be working for a business. José
  14. Joan said in another forum that what he did for Laminar was porting his download code to C++; all the rest is Austin's, AFAIK. José
  15. I believe that NOAA plugin gets hi altitude clouds from GFS, while x-plane 10.50 gets both low and high altitude clouds from metars. NOAA plugin gets ground level winds from metar, if there is one close by, otherwise it uses winds from GFS; I'm not sure how the transition is done in x-plane. Using NOAA plugin the weather is set to uniform and gradually changed as the flight progresses but one can't see distant cloud formations, as opposed to x-plane. I guess thsi summarizes it. José
  16. Ortho2XP is an excelent app. the only trouble is installing; it's not straightforward and can give you a lot of trouble befor it finally works.
  17. Installed OK, thank you Cameron.
  18. Hi, Just as other people before me have reported, I can install SMP 3.2.2 but RWC does not work. I did not try to reinstall RWC because I only have one download left and also because apparently that does not solve the problem. José
  19. If you guys go on posting about this I'm sure Cameron will lock the thread!
  20. This log.txt file is very similar to the ones I posted when I had crashes.
  21. I don't know about the Saab but xfmc is at present incompatible with planes that feature GNS530; it's a known bug: http://www.x-fmc.com/issues/235
  22. I'll PM you!
  23. Frank, It is still happening, in spite of me running xplane 10.50b7 with real weather and all NOAA plugin files having been moved to a backup directory; log.txt file is attached and it is similar to the previous ones. Log_4.txt
  24. What about the weather changing to uniform? I've also detected this with 10.50b7 but I thought I would wait for a stable version of x-plane before referring it. Since malombroso took the initiative I just want ot add that he is not the only one seeing this effect.
  25. Frank, I am using the latest version of Xivap, not XSB, and I wouldn't like to dispense with any of the plugins I am currently using; they are there for a purpose and I will be glad to explain why I think they are so useful but this is hardly the place. I may have found why there was an incomplete metar file, which did not cover the particular airport I was departing from; this may have been caused by my temporarily disabling NOAA, which may have caused the metar to be incomplete. However, if you say this wouldn't cause an RWC crash I have to accept your word. I hope I can stop using NOAA once x-plane 10.50 becomes final, since it will provide wind and turbulence aloft globally; incidentally, the code for that has been partially authored by Joan, the designer of NOAA plugin.
