Can't get autobrake to work
mike10 replied to mike10's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
Thanks guys, i used your lua Lua script and this fixed it! -
Hello, i am having a problem with the autobrake, as soon as I land they disarm and I have to manually brake. My my setup is saitek rudder pedals for the toe brakes and I have the go flight tq6 throttle using a button to toggle the thrust reverser the thrust reverse part seems to be working fine. None of the axis appear to be sticking or causing interference as far as I can tell

Yes, lol

Ahhh, makes sense now, thanks for clearing that up.. funny thing is is I got so caught up in the dome light thing I forgot my packs were switched off
-
Hello, first time doing a night flight in XP11 with this plane and I found that the seat belt switch is controlling the dome light off puts the dome light to bright auto put the dome light to dim on shuts the dome light off

rudder use while hand flying (jan?)
mike10 replied to mike10's topic in Flight Procedures and Techniques
thanks for the fast response, Jan and Morten! and thank you for clearing this up. I think the problem is in my technique in turns. I was trying to fly it like a small plane. I am going go do a few patterns now and I will keep my feet away from the pedals LOL -
Hello, I have a question about hand flying this lovely 733.. It is a joy to hand fly! Ok now for my question, I have never flown a real jet aircraft and I always thought the Yaw damper on large jets like this handled the rudder for the pilot in turns. I noticed that this plane when hand flying I need to use quite a bit of rudder to keep my turns coordinated. Not as much as I have to use IRL in gliders but similar to flying light powered aircraft. Is this normal?

I probably should have added I started taking lessons after many years of simming and on that initial moment of flight I forgot everything.

Hi Rick, I remember your post about that certain other 737 being a little hot.... You probably don't remember but I was the guy that doubted you back then and said that I found it hard to believe that multiple 737 pilots on their team missed that... Well you were right and I am glad to see your still in the sim community. I think your post about simmer flying a real 737 is spot on, I am a pilot now ( only a SPL for now) and I think I would run into some of the issues you talked about because I have zero experience in a plane that big or complex,. I remember my first attempt at taking off in a Cherokee on my very first lesson and how I experienced sensory overload of some sort and came really close to stalling it before the instructor took over, in fact If he said my plane i never heard it, I just felt him take over so I let go. I was was fine after that, but that first initial feeling of flight can be overwhelming and I can not imagine it ending well with a simmer with no real world experience and no instructor trying to take off in a 737.

Thanks for posting this, I am going to buy this tool

Ben, What frustrates me to no end is how many simmers don't see the difference between low-mid range simulations that look nice and PMDG/IXEG level products. I read a few of the posts in the thread PMDG vs. FF 777 thread over at avsim and I did not even respond to the few posts I have read because I felt I would have gotten banned. sadly I think the depth of the IXEG plane will go right over the top of most simmers heads and that just pisses me off because I think that plane IS going to be the must have plane for ANY platform, now I don't have a problem with the guys at FJS and I don't think they try to sell their products as deep simulations it's just that I just don't think some pretty textures with no depth is OMFG!!!!! MUST BUY!!!! I CAN"T WAIT FOR THIS I AM SO EXCITED I JUST SOILED MY PANTS........ worthy. That should be reserved for the study level sims. BUT... I think there is room for both in the market. This product is a 200 and a future IXEG customer may buy this product to simulate older 737 ops. I hope that one day we will see a PMDG 737 NG for x-plane and maybe a IXEG 737 NG! Nothing will promote X-plane better than several talented groups competing to one up each other in quality, as a consumer and a believer in X-plane as the platform for the future I look forward to the day where the market will grow to the point that we will see multiple products in every category.

I know a lot of people are going to disagree with you, but your comment pretty much sums up how I feel when I read about these releases, especially the FF ones. There is a reason planes such as the IXEG, PMDG and LES SAAB takes years to develop and there is a reason why the systems don't work right in FF or FJS planes. I will say as far as I know FJS does not bill themselves as a hardcore systems developer so maybe I am being a little unfair.

Should I buy Saab Today or wait for next Update?
mike10 replied to HarryCYUL's topic in General Discussion
It should be ok on your system. It is a great plane can't wait for the update -
LOL
-
It's not a very hard plane to start up, plus you will get more enjoyment out of it. Just don't go try to sneek into your local airport afterwards and try to start real SAAB's and compare it to the sim.. they tend to frown on that for some reason.

CTOT works for me everytime. I set the number I want with the dial then arm the switches.. then when I am ready to takeoff advande the trottles to atleast the min- T.O slowly and watch the CTOT work it's magic, once CTOT increases to takeoff thrust I leave the throttles alone.
-
I watched the videos last night and I know I have said this a thousand times before but I can't wait for this plane! Stunning work IXEG!
-
I can understand. One thing I would like to point out to steve is that when AVSIM had a store they did not censor out products they did not sell. This is probably one of the reasons at any given time avsim with less members has three times the users browsing the forums and posting.

Why even worry about what those idiots over at the .org have to say? I rather wait for a completed detailed product like the saab then purchase one of the .org rushed hacked " ahh it's good enough" planes. Been down that road... Nick will never see another dollar from me.. LOL I see good old steve winslow is in there.... What ever happened to that guy? Nick won't let him come here anymore? If he is banned can he please be unbanned... It was pure comedy reading his posts where he tries to pretend he is not a .org rumpswab while promoting and defending the .org LOL

I don't really have the plane or gold bars.. I wish I did.. LOL
-
LOL!!!!
-
Yeah it's tough to find time once you have the 733... Amazing what you guys have done!
-
Ok Will do!

I paid the IXEG team to give me a advance copy and delay it for everybody else. That reminds me I need to send them my payment for delaying it until oct.
