Does this mean they are discontinuing publication or just support ? If its just support no big deal as I don't think anyone uses microsoft support especialy since Aces studio no longer exists . If they do discontinue publication the big question would be would they consider dropping there DRM alowing FSX to live on as Freeware . If this was to happen the FSX community could live on forever . There was a hack writen for FS9 that allowed it to be run without a disk and FS9 is probably more popular than FSX , And you can bet Microsoft does not offer support for FS9 . Even if they where to stop publishing there are enough owners of FSX to keep it running and keep delvelopers improving it , alowing FSX to compete with Xplane for along time.

if you have two drives or two partitions move your Xbackup folder to the seperate drive or partition rename it to Xplane 10 . now when you run the updater it will ask you which Xplane 10 you want to update ie:C: Xplane10 or D: Xplane 10 . Check the one you want to update this way you can run the updater on both version and check to see if the version without the add ons updates . I wouldn't think that any addon files would prevent it from updateing as the updater compares your version with the one on the update server and will ask you if you want to replace any files that have been modified . One nice thing about Xplane as compared to FSX is that if you mistakenly delete a file you can run the updater and it will replace the missing files . The updater does not touch Add on aircraft or scenery files. Also if you have tried a Beta and are not happy with it just uncheck the check for beta and it will revert you back to the last Stable release . Try that with FSX and you will have to reinstall erasing all your add ons

Weird Im running an HD6790 with windows 7 and 12.8 driver in HDR mode and 10.10 RC1 and everything is working great just landed at yvr at night and the runway lighting was there and I didnt notice anything strange? what exactly is the problem ?

They mention an ATI driver bug in 10.10 RC1 but I dont seem to see anything wrong anyone else know anything about this?
