  2. thought you'd like that! one more, third and fourth photos are best, I'm printing 6000 of those cards tomorrow..
  3. feel free to ban me if there's already a thread for general funny bits! this I found very funny, had to think first.. http://pleated-jeans.com/2010/06/29/how-superheroes-fly-image/
  4. yes, I love Corsica too, and having just tried Tenerife, its textures over the rugged scenery makes for excellent low alt, high speed ops in anything fast!
  5. msg just posted to org, quick look before deleted. screenie taken in case
  6. WHAT is going on?! I will post a strong message of support for you all, why are they banning enthusiastic supporters of any Dev? we support anyone who adds to our enjoyment, censorship on the Internet just does not work. how many direct emails of complaint to Austin, ben etc do they want?
  7. aw cmon dhruv, be easy on olly! for a sim landing, it was very good! left rear wheel lifted off ground as well but I wasn't going to mention that. now, if you want front wheel damage, see this! now that's bad, I'm good at that...
  8. almost forgot, those of u who don't subscribe or see my tweets, here is our preview/ review of the 787 from Heinz. Goran will chuckle- poh is 15 pages, 14 less than his Sunny! nevertheless, it's still a good, amazingly fps friendly giant, and infinitely more accessible than the A380 with 80 pages of intense procedures. Oh, my later blog post also includes a review and vid of Nils Yak55. Am I gonna burst waiting for Norcal to review!!! http://xplane10.wordpress.com/2010/06/28/787-by-heinz-previewed/
  9. thanks Oliver, yes very nice, a good highlighting of the Sunny's features and as I said, a gentle caress of the runway on touchdown, very slick! Goran, she'll hopefully be a participant in a LFHU approach vid soon- but will she make it past the cliff face? who knows...
  10. hey oliver, can u post a direct link, my iPhone won't let me see da vid and I can't see it using my YouTube app. can't wait to see it!
  11. yes, know what u mean re. molten wallet! But its great to see the flood starting. And that's before NORCAL is out. speaking of that....?
  12. Hi Everyone, Arnaud from XPFR requested our help in drumming up support for an appeal, to help the volunteers in restoration of the fourth remaining Flamant. It was recently damaged in a storm and needs repairs before it's airworthy again. We've got an appeal page in our Blog: http://xplane10.wordpress.com/flamant-appeal/ Wish they had paypal.. Thanks simon
  13. hi lis, I can definitely vouch for the torque, and a new org post from a real life aerobatics pilot seems positive enough. I was able to do some torque related twists I hadn't done before. sound is very good, but I ain't no expert! not sure about the card- it's very well rendered and stained though!

sorry, can't divulge. more than a discounted Yak55 but less than a Bugatti Veyron. it's a fair price.
  15. Ha Mdmax, same here! Good pics. it's a good plane eh? I took a few pics myself, @ 30fps!
  16. thanks so much for replying Peter! my head has just imploded... I'll copy this text to the Blog, really interesting and underlines how much work goes into such apparently simple things. simon
  17. thanks Jav, best reaction ever to any of my vids!! might use this method permanently, better editing next time...
  18. better than Javier's last pics, better to see it in action. this took a long time to assemble...
  19. will do Cameron. Yes, it's a bit hard to definitely say it's the best lighting in all of xplanedom, but those spectacular screens do look good, even in 2d. I haven't seen it in real life yet either. better be good compared to Nils amazing 117 or my real favourite for night textures, Javier's Javelin. turn down it's lighting and you get a small 1/10th hint of what the crj might be like....
  20. sorry, this must look like spam! I can only get to the pc at certain times of the week (yay, weekend here), hence the flurry of updates. Last one for the weekend, I found this enlightening as I've been too scared to fork out for this expensive but apparently very complex simulation. A forerunner of the many pending study sims maybe? http://xplane10.wordpress.com/x-plane-aircraft-reviews/peters-a380-reviewed/
  21. yeah I know he's a competitor, but we're all interested in the top devs that make xp so cool. http://xplane10.wordpress.com/x-plane-developer-interviews/heinz-dziurowitz-interviewed/
  22. my boy loves that Lego plane, thankyou! you should have at least teased them more and made sure you had some old crj footage for the thumbnail!

Yep, a good summary, cal! But there is probably more texturing in one of the Sundowners rocker switches than the entire 78 cockpit. So yeah, xa are another level above. Oh, just got Nils helo on sale- Tom is right, those dials are amazing
  24. A review of Tom's plane, compared to some other similar sized GAs, and a nice description of landing at a treacherous strip.. http://xplane10.wordpress.com/x-plane-aircraft-reviews/falco-vs-bonanza-vs-stationair-review/

Yes Cal, I know the possible price. Will be very reasonable, NOT at A380 price levels
