  1. oh sorry, i meant that each "rivet" on the normal map is 1x1
  2. the fuselage is mapped on to one large 4096 texture, the normal maps themselves are only 1x1 pixel in size. X-plane interprets this 1x1 dot as a circle and makes a nice little dimple appear. I know they look a little deep, i'm trying to adjust them to make that better.
  3. Hey! The plane can now alternate between black and orange using the preferences tab in the electronic flight bag!
  4. my thoughts exactly, I'll include an option to switch between the two variants, i'll set up a line of code for it
  5. indeed one of the most ANNOYING things about the 787 is that the windshield literally changes color... I probably will alternate between black and iridescent, but I chose orange this time around because it's more dramatic XD
  6. dammit i thought this was a video of the actual plane
  7. Working on a paint, doing some corrections for benedikt's norwegian paint
  8. talk to matthew huerta (mhuerta on most x-plane sites) he's my painter and he knows how to do the 3d object painting
  9. here's an interesting tidbit... http://www.haveeru.com.mv/news/54062
  10. when i fly full, i do some homework, watch a movie and practice some music XD
  11. can't download from XP.org, banned remember?
  12. one more thing, the afterburners will create a bright flame coming out of each engine, you need to create an invisible acf_flame.png like my 767s have to avoid that flame
  13. ah, it automatically starts when the throttle handles hit maximum, just create an after burn sound set and add an after burner additional thrust in plane maker's engine specs section, because afterburners add some extra thrust, though I just set my afterburners to give 1 extra pound of thrust so that they don't throw off the function of the jet
  14. slight update, now the plane has fuselage normal maps they're not done quite yet, but it's a good start
