  1. Default aircraft? Since I found X-Aviation before XP10 came out, I was not even aware that there were default aircraft in XP10 . Well that's not true, I saw the video of the JRollon's aircraft for XP10. And back to the topic... That's great news, it means that soon the long awaited updates for 64bits compatibility of the products that need them will be available.
  2. Maybe It has not been approved yet I'll try later. I used it last night for the first time and is a really nice and helpful little app, loved it, thanks for sharing it
  3. I agree, and that would make REX cloud run on XP10.
  4. IMHO REX developers made a significant mistake releasing only for windows, excluding themselves from the largest portion of X-Plane users and potential customer. First their product came out just as the XP10 started to be developed and yes there are some XP10 windows users but, REXtreme is not compatible with XP10 missing yet another portion of the growing market. After all X-Plane is a multi platform simulator and who ever develops and want to take a piece of the market should release only when full support is available. REXtreme for XP10 for windows mac and linux or something like this that would be really nice: http://sundog-soft.c...time-3d-clouds/I would pay just as much I payed for X-Plane to have beautiful realistic skies. After all that's where I do all my flying. And that is something really missing in XP10, when it rains over the last layer of clouds just kills it for me. there's a loot of room for improvement there and developers should exploit that niche. I don't know why they took the infinite zoom out form the external view in XP10 I miss that too along with horizon to horizon view of the world. Flying over FL300 sucks there is no could coverage and all you can see is a blur. Water class. same as land class, turquoise waters with visible reefs in costal waters, braking waves in beaches, etc. Same as with the sky perhaps someone could develop an upgrade in this regard if not Laminar themselves.
  5. Looks awesome Chris, and keep the glass gates, when they see the great job you guys done they will upgrade to make it look like your scene
  6. It seems that the file was taken down
  7. You are probably running XP 10.20 beta 11(64 bits) and the CRJ200 is not compatible with this version yet. It only runs correctly in the 32bit app. We are all patiently waiting for the free update that will arrive as soon as XP 10.20 is final. Try using the 32 bit version of X-Plane
  8. <Shift> + <Space> Within X-Plane, saves the .jpg file in the X-Plane main directory at the whatever resolution you are running the sim.
  9. All right, here we go... After fiddling around converting sceneries learning as I go, making repaints for third party planes mostly for personal use, although I shared a couple so far, I decided to embark on my first original project. I want to start moderately with one small airfield in the Mexican Caribbean Island of Cozumel. It features 2 airports. The MMCZ International airport and a small Airfield that doesn't even come with the default Global Scenery. This airfield is home of the Cozumel Air Show and recently the place for Fred Cabanas last flight. In Memory of Freddy... http://cabanasaerobatics.com/category/videos/#ooid=A3c21oODpjfNA0ntEM-mdHb7CM7HsrjA Last video on the page I have not use some of the tools that I will need for this task but I am determined to lear by doing. I chose this not only for the love to the Island since I lived there many years, but because It will allow me the opportunity to grow in developing skills: First I want to do the Cap. Eduardo Toledo airfield and then continue with the International Airport with its Air Force Base and then whole Island with its beautiful coastline, landmarks and stuff. I should have a lot of fun learning as I go. Edit: I was not able to post a direct link to the tribute video
  10. Awesome! It is a really beautiful place, no doubts about it. I did some real life flying in Kauai and spent countless hours simming VFR in the area. Racing down the Waimea canyon and enjoying the sunset along the Napali coast, following the roads and finding familiar places was a lot of fun. I am glad you were able to recover your data from your formatted drive dude, I have ben there and it really sucks. Aloha
  11. Impressive. Keep up the good work. I am now officially following this looking forward for its release. Edit. I lived in Kauai for a few years and flew into PHNL several times, Would love to recreate my travels and perhaps use it as a stop over on my way to Australia and New Zealand to enjoy Chris K's australian airports and alpilots' New Zealand Pro.
  12. Me neither, I don't know what that means.
  13. PA A321 is not 64bit compatible yet. I don't know if the A380 and his previous planes for XP 9 are, I doubt it. I think his priority is with the ones released for XP 10. http://www.petersaircraft.com
  14. Freware x737 project by EADT Benedikt Stratmann and Pierre Stonehttp://www.eadt.eu/index.php?aircraft-for-x-plane-9
  15. is the 64 bit version available already and I haven't heard of it yet?
  16. I had experienced lost volumes and found a utility that with a lot of patience help me recover most of my files. this was for mac. The software was not too expensive and basically made a sector by sector. If the format was a normal format, meaning that it just erased the partition table, the data is still there. The problem is that later i got broken into my home and my computer and my wife's computer got stolen, along with my backup drive that was plugged into the lap top and there was no recovery for that. The name is: Stellar Phoenixgood luck
  17. What JFK freeware is that? Does it have DHR lights? are those lights white instead of the yellow standard HDR lights? looks amazing
  18. I Can't wait to get my hands on this one. First I got the impression that was released and available and got all exited, really funny, like a kid.
  19. Totally agree Chris, and abut the different mesh is ok, as long as we stay away from Lukla, for us xp10 users would make it extra challenging to say the least, or perhaps would be a good opportunity to learn to fly a helicopter, that's the only way to land safely there hehe.
  20. IVAO has TeamSpeax which works for audio, or it used to work. I had issues using this with mac osx 10.8. What I do when flying on IVAO is use a pc as a radio and chart viewer. I know is very awkward and cumbersome, but so far is the only way I can keep flying on IVAO with radio, text is fine but complicated to reply specially in the final stages of approach and landing. ATC is a desirable feature for sure. I am not a controller neither on IVAO or VATSIM (well just in training) but I am sure that if we contact one of their division staff and request assistance, there will be some either ATC trainees or staff members that will be eager to assist. I know that they can't just set up shop in a random airfield, needs to be within their division, sometimes they can for special events but they also need to coordinate with the respective division. One other thing that is important to coordinate is the time of the flyin, we are spread around the globe and what may be convenient for some might be impossible for others. I know there is an important crowd frequent to this web site that live in Australia and beyond I am in Europe, another important bunch in this community is in the Americas. At least some of us need to work some times and have other responsibilities, like change dippers and put our copilots to bed. And setting up the alarm to get up at 4 am for a no show flyin is not fun. One more thought... It would also be nice to have the opportunity to check out some of the awesome freeware sceneries that are featured here, and payware like KILM, Oahu, NORCAL, etc. Although not all of us enjoy them all, so something like New Zealand pro, YPAD, YSSY, NZCH, KSEA, CYTZ which we can all download from the file section here would be great. Looking forward for a X-Pilot/Aviation flyin ...
  21. EADT has released version 4.7.5 of the awesome freeware 737-800, now 64 bit ready, soon will the x737FMC be 64 bits compatible, just so you knoe the x737FMC is not free but a great value. Here is the link: http://www.eadt.eu Edit. 3D cockpit is still in the oven, will take some time for this to come out.
  22. I will sure give this a try but not now. Busy preparing to receive my brother for x'mass eve dinner. Congratulations for the best of the year YPAD, is a really nice scenery along with the Toronto, and Sydney, there might be others but have not seen them. Merry Christmass Chris
