  1. Looks like I won't be able to 'fly' much longer. Eventually, people will be developing for v. 10 only, in which case I'll be out of the running until I can afford to get a decent computer (which I don't see happening very soon). When it's over it's over, I guess. Thanks for the reply. Jim
  2. Looks great. Will this be available in v.9.70? Jim

    DMax Releases Blackshape Prime

Hi... Will this work in 9.7? Thanks, Jim
  4. Pete, Really looking forward to the 9.70 release (faster on my little laptop). I bought the Carenado Seneca II and foiund that that was a BIG mistake. Major fps slowdown. Fog everywhere, can't see to land, so no VFR. In my opinion, I wasted $27.95 USD, as it is not optimized for lower end systems. I use a HP DV6-6C35DX (Quad-Core, up to 2.6 (I think) GB, 6 GB of SDRAM, AMD A8 with Radeon 6620G. The whole thing is supposed to ruin Crysis @ without problems, but the Seneca II slows way down (yes, I've changed resolution, objects available, etc. Still no luck.) Needless to say, really looking forward to an optimized DHC-2 Beaver. Jim
  5. Hello, I was just wondering what happened to the update on the Sundowner, since it's been over a year since the last comment on this. I'm reasonably new to X-Aviation, so don't know all the particulars about the site, or who runs it, who's come and gone, etc), but I am curious as to when (and even if), the aforementioned update was ever, in fact, going to happen. No offense meant, just curious is all... Jim
  6. Cameron, Thanks for the reply. I messed around with both forums (here, and the other one) and found out what the issue was, and simply removed Gizmo. Works fine, now. My apologies for any misunderstanding. Any further X-Aviation aircraft, I will make sure I get them from X-Aviation exclusively. Thanks for your support and help. (What's the deal with Gizmo still not taking care of this issue? Pretty slow "support" if you ask me.) Jim
  7. Philipp, You and Cameron need to get on the same page! I have apologized to Cameron for the mistake with the different forums, and your reply comes off as not only rude, but very UN- customer friendly. I don't need the CRJ, as there are other very well done aircraft out there. "It is confusing to other readers when we give advise here that doesn't apply to the aircraft they bought" Why is this confusing? This DOES apply to the aircraft I bought, since it is your CRJ-200. Why are you allowing other people to mess around with the plug-ins, when you have a specific set for the CRJ? Shouldn't the aircraft be the same regardless of where I buy it from? By the way, here is Cameron's quote to me, so you can draw your own conclusions: "Considering your loyalty to X-Aviation in the past please contact me using the following form: http://www.x-aviatio...?products_id=68 I'll be willing to work something out for you regarding this matter." Jim
  8. Japo32, Thanks for the reply! SInce I didn't immediately see the activation key, I didn't know how to activate the CRJ. I thought it would have been a separate email and not put in with the download...my mistake! Regarding the activation process, I will wait until I have things worked out with Cameron regarding the screeching issue with the CRJ. I should have purchased from X-Aviation in the first place, and would have, had I known that there were changes that appear to have been made regarding the plug-in sounds. Jim
  9. Okay, Cameron, here you go... Thanks for taking the time... Jim One other thing: Is there supposed to be an "activation key" or something similar associated with this package? I simply bypassed it. Could that have something to do with my problem (if that's the case)? Thanks again... J Log.txt
  10. Hi.... I was intrigued immensely by your new state of the art CRJ200, so I purchased it. BIG mistake...Don't get me wrong, this aircraft is beautifully done. I had downloaded the "tester" to make sure it would run on my computer and got a green background (which, I suppose, is to represent that it WILL run.) After install and bootup (in X-Plane 9), I get this horrible screeching and squawks (almost as bad as adjusting a radio squelch knob, fingers on a challkboard type of thing), which effectively renders it useless. Any ideas what would be causing this? The only plug-in I have is Gizmo. I'm beginning to think I should have gotten the Seneca, Corvallis or the ERJ 140 (no offense). Thanks for your time... Jim
  11. Hey, Pete... How are things going? Everything okay? Haven't seen an update for a while. Not to be impatient or anything (yeah, right), but just really looking forward to the release of the DHC-2. Jim
  12. Thanks for the link, Pete...I think I'll be picking this up! Best regards, Jim
  13. Pete, HOLEY MOLEY...!!!! I just ran across this thread last night about 12:30am and stayed up until 1:30am or so reading the comments and looking at the pics. Very, very nice!! If it flies as well as it looks, we're all in for quite a treat. Your experience with, and knowledge of, Blender really shows. I just downloaded Blender 2.6 myself, but I have no idea what I'm doing. Anyway, I'll start with the 'Cookie' probably, but hey...gotta start somewhere, right? I have to go buy X-Plane 9.7 now so I'll be able to fly your plane. (I currrently have 10.05r1) Again, awesome, awesome job, and I'm really looking forward to the release. Jim
  14. Great Scott.... So...it seems that after much wavering and consternation, and after reading about all the 'features' v.10 was supposed to have, I still find it...lacking. I feel like I was sold a bill of goods, but I digress..... It looks like I'll have to invest in v.9.7 (again; can't find my originals), as it appears to be way more of a finished product. Also, there appears to be more scenery, more aircraft, more of everything that I would like to see (and use), and I'm not sure how well my computer would run v.10 maxed out anyway. What d'you guys think? v.9.7 over v.10? Comments appreciated... Jim
  15. Is there any timeframe for an update to X-Plane 10 for the Cessna 152? Thanks, Jim
