  1. Eric, Cameron It's been over a month and no word. We seem to be very close to release. Need a beta tester? Hope I don't have to wait till XMAS.
  2. Thank you for your reply Cessna. I'm still confused by the Thrust Settings on the PERF pages. Not sure if the CRZ N1 is for the requested Cruise Altitude given a standard lapse rate from the temperature on the ground. If not, I know that the T/O N1 should be the highest setting and is usually limited to 5 or 10 minutes by the AFM. I'm assuming that Javier expects the user to select T/O for the takeoff phase and then at some point select the CLB N1 during climb and finally CRZ N1 once level off altitude is reached. My experience is that the CRZ power setting is a reduction from the CLB power in real aircraft. Finally, I'm also confused as to why MCT N1 is typically so much lower than the CRZ N1 setting. Isn't MCT the Max Continuous Thrust? I see this in the low 80's on most flights with the CRZ N1 being in the low 90's. Doesn't make much sense to me. FinalIy, I select CRZ N1 shortly after T/O as this gives my the most realistic climb rates from what I can tell. Nano.
  3. Hi Jagipson, Vfto is you best rate of climb speed in a gear up, flaps up scenario. Typically, this is the speed a pilot would climb out at in the event of an engine failure during the takeoff/climb phase until all known obstacles are cleared. Vfto is also used to determine at what speed it is safe to retract the flaps. In the case of the CRJ, use Vfto - 30 knots to retract from 20 deg to 8 deg, and Vfto - 10 for retracting flaps from 8 to 0 degrees. Most takeoffs in the CRJ should be accomplished at 8 degrees. Use 20 degrees for shorter runways and high altitude departures. Unless you are single-engine, once flaps are retracted you can accelerate out to 250 knots and climb at that speed. Hope this answers your question. Nano
  4. Just installed Ver 1.5.1 and am on it's maiden flight. So far, so good. My only question is what exactly changed with regards to the fuel load calculation and where do I find it? Is it on the MCDU MENU/PLANE MENU Page? Is that the fuel required for the trip, and then I load it via the Aircraft Menu? That's what it seems like to me. Also, and this is a hold-over question from earlier versions. Is there a KIAS/MACH transfer button? I like to climb at 250 KIAS until Mach 0.64, but there is no way to transfer the SPEED control to Mach that I can find. I have to manually scroll the speed back in the climb until level off. Which reminds me, why is the CLB power lower than the CRZ power setting? Seems backwards in my experience with jet engines. I look forward to your response. Nano
  5. That bites!!!
  6. The website says Fall 2011. What is the status? And goodness, you've been working on NORCAL since summer of 2009. Scary  But really looking forward to it. Have Washington and Oahu and definitely enjoy them. Nano
  7. I believe I have 1.4.1 working pretty good and have begun doing some flights. One thing I am noticing is that the aircraft appears way under powered. Is this the case? I'm currently climbing thru 30K feet with a climb of 700 fpm and 90.5 set in the thrust limit. If I use the climb thrust from the FMS (87.2), it wouldn't even climb at 27K. My current weight is 41085 lbs. Not really that heavy. Also, the CRZ power setting is higher that the CLB power setting 88.0 vs 87.2. That doesn't seem right. These numbers come from my takeoff temperature of -8 deg C. as the OAT. Am I doing this correct? My experience is the TO power should be the highest, then CLB then MCT, then CRZ in that order. Any experience would be appreciated. TIA.
  8. They were not listed on the legs page. The flight plan ended with only one KSEA. Strange, but definitely repeatable behavior. I tried the to load a SID out of SKBO and KMIA with the same results. The SID is listed and ACTivated using DEP/ARR key, but the actual waypoints of the SID/STAR are not in the flight plan. Nano
  9. Thank you Javier, And thank you for your awesome aircraft. I have both the Javelin and the CRJ and enjoy them both. Here is a screen shot of my issue. Please notice the point listing on the MFD. It has KSEA listed three times multiplying the distance. In this case, I'm really only about 150 miles from KSEA.
  10. An update on my situation: I recovered my X-Aviation aircraft folder and my XP plugins folder from time machine from this morning which was that last time I got the CRJ to load and run properly with the exception of the FMS SID/STAR waypoints. I can now get the CRJ to load and fly fine. Except I still can't get the SID or STAR waypoints to load in the FMS. I'm using a flight from KGEG to KSEA trying the load the GLASR8 arrival for ILS 16C at KSEA.
  11. Unfortunately, I have to ask the experts for help. Can't get 1.4.1 to load without crashing XP. Attached are the crash report when I try to load the CRJ and the log.txt from the main XP folder. Hopefully Phillip, or someone can offer some help. I'm down to one more download off the X-Aviation site Note that it was working at one point, but the SID/STARs where not loading into the flight plan. I removed my UFMC plug-in thinking that might be the reason and from then on haven't been able to get the CRJ loaded. My system does load other aircraft and runs fine. I've removed all my plug-ins except those noted in this and other threads. Hopefully my crash report and log with help. Thank You, Nano Crash Report.txt Log.txt
