  1. an organized event in the US would be awesome. lots of fans here in the states. Would be cool to visit Air Venture this year but i had not recently thought about it. So many other things going on, i wonder what i could squeeze in.
  2. wow really cool stuff That vulcan looks like it is about to fall apart. I cant believe pilots flew those even in brand new conductions. Ug airbus cockpits. ug! Thanks for posting
  3. Sexy, powerful and fast, what else can you ask for. I did notice those tires are really tiny. Probably saves on weight and interior space.
  4. I WANT A REMOS GX! lol, so badly.
  5. nice pics. We don't have to many love bugs up this way.
  6. Actually Nova, after having an informative conversation with Ben Supnik a few days back, it is like this. X-Plane, cause it is only a 32bit program, can only access somewhere between 3 and 4 gigs or memory. no mater how much memory you have on your system, that is the limit. If you have a small 256 MB GFX card, most of the graphics will be in system memory. if you reach the limit, x-plane will crash, most of the time. So it pays a little bit to have a larger Graphics card. Still, until the day X-plane is converted over to 64 bit, we will have this limit hanging over us. This is not exactly all bad thought, but it is good to know as a developer. someday, far into the future, X-Plane will be upgraded to 64 bit. It is not exactly an easy thing.
  7. I really wanna get that app, but i will wait till i have an ipad, which is one of the last things on my list. Thank you so much for showing us though man. i had no idea something like that was available. The Q in the snow is really cool.
  8. Thanks man. This one is actually on my list to fix. i noticed it a few days ago myself. odd thing is, it did work right for a while then somehow it started reading wrong. Oh the mysteries of X-Plane. Also noticed that sometimes the default X-Plane FMC will delete everything and then your just lost wondering where you are.
  9. couldn't resist. If you do it just right, the engines wont get hurt and you can even take off again.
  10. Now try landing her in water! you can do it! i have done it several times. Taking off from PHDH today, i heard a roar as this passed me by. i just had enough time to take this shot.
  11. Also, looking forward to your next video.
  12. Great Video Oliver, but Gizmo was not installed on this video. To get the best out of the Q400, Gizmo needs to be installed. Otherwise great video. and thanks for posting. And how do i know Gizmo is not installed? well, because you had to turn on the generators, the was two sets of prop handles, the Caution and warning lights test didn't work, Bleeds weren't turned off on cold and dark, plus a few other things. If you are having trouble installing Gizmo i am more then willing to help you with that.
  13. Just to put this out there, my first payware purchase ever was the Flight1 ATR 72-500. Fond memories back then. Was a long time ago now. like 4 years i think. Looking forward to fly it again, but this time in X-Plane.
  14. Lookin good. Is it just me or dose this bird look fat? oh, wait, i been looking at the Q400 to long. OH! The ATR really dose look like that. Great work. so how many liveries are you planing on making?
  15. I flew this!
  16. After messing around with the UFMC, i would not recommend is for the Q400. It takes control of the vertical speed modes on the autopilot which it dosnt not need to. this along gives me a headache. other then that UFMC is great, and i would love to see if it can be setup to work with the Q400 better. I used VasFMC once and i will have to take another look at it again soon to see how the Q400 works with it.
  17. Yes, 'Chiemi' says it very nicely for sure. right on with a lot of things i have heard from my Q400 pilot contacts as well. Sounds are something we are working on. I like that he noted the DISC mode breaking. I tried to simulate this a bit in the sim, but maybe it is to weak. I will look at that as soon as i can. I already have a list growing of things i will be adding for the first update. I cant say exactly what will be completed on that list, but the list is of things people have asked for.
  18. LOL, nice one Theo. oh how one can relate to that.
  19. Thank you guys. It really brings joy to my heart knowing that people are enjoying the work I have done. The Q400 is a bit of a challenge to land, so i put together a video showing how best to do an approach. Check it out here:
  20. That sure is one happy bird! Brings a smile to my face, but strangely at the same time i cant help but feel a little bit scared. Great work guys. Sure looks stunning.
  21. That is one awesome image Ola! Glad to see you are enjoying the Q400.
  22. Well, i would like to do some more test myself before pointing a finger at any plugin system. In fact I don't think it is the plugin systems that are the problem. i think the problem lies in how UFMC operates. As from what i can see, it is programed under the assumption that you are flying a jet. But again, I will do some tests and also I will be contacting Javier Cortes to see if there is anything we can work out to make it work better with the Q400. I will get back to you all on this soon.
  23. Perhaps i interpreted what he wrote wrong and perhaps i expected to much. I just ask that they do take a further look at her. With the flight model how it is, it will take a few good flights to really get a feel for her.
  24. i have clearly states how to get the proper numbers, i like feedback, so don't say i don't. And not having Gizmo installed to begin with shows how dedicated they are to getting a proper review. And second of all, how would you know how feverishly we requested them to do a review of our product. Cause unless you are pulling the string over at the Xplane10 blog, you don't. I simple asked Simon to give the Q400 a fair look over. Which they agreed to. I also asked them to take their time and not to rush into reviewing it, which they did not do. and yeah, a lot of it is positive, but i have a lot of pride in the flight model, so i only feel so obligated to defend it.
  25. I think you meant to say "not" satisfied with...as in you're a happy camper. That said, you must know a secret. There's been some debate on the flight model front thus far. http://xplane10.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/fly-j-sim-dash-8-q400-a-quick-look-around-and-some-first-impressions/ and do read my reply on the blog post. not only has Chip failed to understand how to properly test Stall number, but he didn't even bother to install Gizmo.
