  1. Hold your horses! I'd rather do a vid tut as I am the creator, we are jumping too far ahead. Lets just stick with the XPPT pdf series first, please. @ steve, it sounds like you've got a bad system, it truly musn't be that hard to get a gradient.... and to copy and paste is the easiest thing, maybe take a few tutorials on how to run your system first as I did when I started.
  2. @ namaui, I think you are right.... The T-34C mentor must be out of this world detailed to not use texture reigons from the default planemaker instruments though. I guess i'd have to see for myself!
  3. Well if the T-34C mentor has a 3D cockpit (I assume it does) then You'd have to contact Jrollon to assign a new reigon for the instrument. Or... (I am not the expert you need for this) You could open the aircraft in Plane-maker and go to menu standard > Panel : 2D. then you can replace a certain instrument that you may not want and go to the left side menu and select your instrument, drag and drop into the old reigon where the old instrument has been, and save. I know you are a rookie so you may not understand, but it is worth a go to share this idea. (I am a rookie myself at all the 3D stuff) Happy flying, Hampster
  4. Well your are progressing really well now, I'm hoping to release a tutorial in the future that covers painting bodies a bit more, but until then keep up the good work! Thanks yet again for all the support. Happy painting everyone!
  5. Just go to the Org and look at the new resources in the DM, Take away the scenery and repaints, and see how many aircraft are there... out of percentage how many aircraft are made in planemaker and how many are made in an external 3D programme? How many planemaker aircraft have good paint? I personally feel that Planemaker is coming on force, it is just that we have had a boom in new experienced 3D people who know how to run a programme that is REALLY hard to learn. Painting in planemaker is art, it is not meant to be easy, as with making planes in external 3D programmes.
  6. It is good to see you on X-Pilot steve, and as I said, Practise and practise some more... You'll eventually get there!
  7. Well that is the plan! Happy 300th post there airbus.
  8. XPPT TUTORIAL No.1 - The Windscreen - IS RELEASED! Long awaited by you guys, now here it is... click me! Thanks yet again for your support already, I am really happy with how this tutorial turned out, now it is time for you to be the judge!
  9. OK, going to see if that is the problem....
  10. I sometimes take off at singapore changi and fly over to heathrow overnight. Takeoff at 10:00 pm - sleep overnight with sim running - land at 8:00 am the next morning. It is a good flight, but i somtimes do something wrong and wake up to a plane somwhere in the middle of nowhere, or even crashed.... (Rookie pilot). below is my flight plan on a 747 flying 35 - 40,000 ft: :NZAA: ------------- 10 hrs ------------------ :8 hr stop @ Changi: 7 am start = 2 pm land :Changi: ---------------------------13 hrs --------------------------- :Heathrow: 10 - 11 pm start = 6 - 8 am land
  11. Ohh, I wish I could tell you, but no one has given their sponsorship. I've been trying ever so hard, but I guess I would need ties to the sponsor to get a prize. I will keep on trying, just whait a sec
  12. We are on final approach guys! Tutorial 1 is under testing by some helpful helpers, soon to be out for you to enjoy. (hopefully tuesday)
  13. WELL, THIS IS THE END TO AN EXTREMELY UNSUCCESSFUL SCREENSHOT COMP! Congrats to simonW for winning first in non-edited and sethesus for winning edited Maybe someone will organise a better one next year, as this was a complete fail.
  14. Comp closes my time 9:00 pm GMT+11:30, if your in auz it'd be sort of 7 - 8 ish PM.
  15. Looking good! 'Tis the 20th, so the competition closes tomorrow evening. post pics up if you have one (or two) !
  16. Yup, but don't expect a bang at the end. still looking foward to seeing your work though!
  17. Goto menu in planemaker: special > output texture map starting points. what you are looking for is any difference between the old texture, and the new output texture.. if there is, I would suggest maybe re-updating, that may help. Are you saying that the paint looks funny on the plane, or in the texture? -ham
  18. Thank you very much! And yes, I am not familliar with external 3D, as with many new aircraft builders that have just recently moved fron FSX / 2004, I think it is best to give the planemaker people a good guideline to painting the basics. It was definitely what the X-P community was missing when I started to paint myself. Release date hopefully in the next week or so. hamham.
  19. *EPIC FAIL* good one, never seen props bend like that in a plane before.
  20. OK, almost done with the fist tut, anything else someone want answered by me?
  21. I think that is the payware corsair. Nice paint!
  22. understood. well worth a shot though... the next one will be better. I'm just an immature hampster after all! Still, lets push ahead and learn from our mistakes as everyone should. I'm still exited to see the screenshots though!
  23. Well have fun! glad to hear this is all ticking along silently. I'll give you guys a buzz on the 20th.
  24. Almost a week has gone by and no entries? Time is running short everybody!
  25. Guh! I dream of all the good planes, but really a better computer is what I need the most... good point CK.
