This scenery (Plus X-Plane 10) use ~500 Mb of VRAM when loaded at "very high" with compression enabled. - You will want to run this scenery at "very high" or "extreme" Texture Resolution. - X-Plane 10.20 64-bit and 1 Gb VRAM Video card is recommended for the Higher Texture resolutions. - Charts for YPAD: http://www.airservic...com/aip/aip.asp __________________________________________________________ This scenery is designed to work best with: Vehicle Library Extension (http://forums.x-pilo...n-xp9xp10-isdg/) FlyJSim Asphalt Textures (http://forums.x-plan...&showfile=16270) SkyMAXX sky colouring using "Vivid Skies" (http://forums.x-plan...&showfile=15821) BeachMAXX Ocean Textures (http://forums.x-plan...&showfile=17311) Autogate DGS System (http://forums.x-plan...s&showfile=5038) Wide Taxiway Line Markings (http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/file/406-wide-taxiway-markings-library-replacement/) __________________________________________________________ Still to fix: - Some buildings are still a little too "glow in the dark" at night. These are converts from AussiePak1 which were toned down, but could use some better lighting. - Lost the edge grass facade functionality in the 10.20 betas. Bug report submitted. __________________________________________________________ License: This scenery is Postcard-Ware. Send us a postcard if you like the work! We'd love to hear from you. I like the levels.. Basically, there's 1 Level, and it's the entire planet..... Takes a while to finish though =) - CK.

Thanks Delta 57! Weve been able to uniquely model many of the buildings for YPAD - again, all due to our our "secret agent" on the ground with a nice camera. =) Just finishing up up the final HDR lighting: We're on track for an "Imminent" release - Hopefully you'll all be able to fly around it this weekend. =) - CK.
-
Dont think you can hijack it.... as Im not too sure what the original topic was supposed to be (other than a "this looks awesome" thread...) ^^ that pic looks awesome! =).. hence it applies IMHO. - CK.
-
Thats YPAD, plus UrbanMAXX (which is awesome), plus SkyMAXX (which is VERY awesome - the correct skycolours are a HUGE benefit), and BeachMAX (which is also also awesome). Hats off to John for those replacement sky/water/beach/city textures. XP10 is certainly becoming breathtaking now! (FWIW, I have all the MAXX-series installed myself, and it makes XP10 look like a whole new simulator - no more drab!). - CK.
-
Fantastic Andras! A hearty pat on the back from everyone here!! - CK.
-
VMWare Fusion allows for OSX loads now natively. Might want to do what the rest of us do to keep using 1 or 2 apps which are OS-specific - VMWare 'em. =) - CK. P.S. the *only* reason I now have a WinXP install in VMWare is for Visio - the last "must have app" I need inthe Netwokring business (and no, OmniGraffle just AIN'T Visio) =)

Yes Method 1: Import the LOWI custom scenery DSF into WED, find the exclusion, delete It, Export Scenery Pack. WED: http://developer.x-plane.com/tools/worldeditor/ Method 2: Use OE (Overlay Editor), Go to the LOWI Custom Scenery, Select Exclusion, Delete (sorry, not too familliar with OE, but it also works) OE: http://marginal.org.uk/x-planescenery/tools.html - CK

If you used winterworld by Tom Curtis then things would go white. But that was an add-on and had to be manually enabled before runtime. I have not seen white ground in the default x-plane and have been using since XPlane 8.6 or so.....
-
Does anyone have _LIT textures on the new art assets? (and *NOT* the Gas stations, as BTW those have been in the library since 10.00 or so). Im talking specifically about the new hi-rise apartment blocks that seem to dot the landscape. I have no nighttime textures for those, and they have no HDR lights attached either. (making them quite the obstacle for night flying!! =)...) - CK.
-
If there are, I'm not noticing them.... still the 'everything is grass' textures in cities so far. - CK.

YBBN may be an interesting one to try. However, no promises at this point as to the next project. Since the majority of our team is in Australia, (and we can source some great orthoscenery with full distribution rights for Australia too), i'd hazard a guess we'd be staying in this continent mainly. However, I still have a hankering to fix up one of my olde Canadian airports which I think could use some orthophoto TLC. =) and scubajuan: "that beer when you come to Belgium got upgraded to beer and fries mate." - As long as there's some good frite sauce Mayo for those fries! =) - CK.
-
Nice Shots Jim! (and by the way, Happy Birthday!) A few more interim builds: Comin' along now..! This image is to try to be as accurate to Skyflyer's actual photo from the Airport from Saturday. P.S. Skyflyer's been busy doing some awesome work on the terminal as well. It's awesome having a "local man on the ground" with a nice camera, and knows how to use it =) - CK.
-
New road "tunnels" Much much more autogen/buildings: Missing the _LIT textures tho, so they're pitch black at night (even in HDR) Almost dont need OSM2XP anymore! =) - CK.
-
Where!? I see no Pie.... And I Like Pie..! - CK.

1. Antriscopic Filtering: Change to "16x" - AF Filtering is very cheap to do on a Graphics card these days. (i.e. doent cause any huge performance penalty). 2. Increase your 'Texture resolution" 1 notch higher. I.e. go from "normal" to "high", or "high" to "very high". 3. Install the replacement runway textures which are 4 X the standard resolution: http://forums.x-plan...&showfile=16270 4. Do *ALL* of the above. =) - CK. EDIT: Quick snap of what I see: Although JPEG Compression is blurring things... but you get the idea.
-
Ropeless has an affinity for golf courses.... While Skyflyer has been busy stenciling his name in numerical graffiti all over the place... - CK.
-
Plugins need to be recompiled for 64bit. Patience =)
-
Hah. Sorry I couldnt resist! =) - CK.

Us? We're Free. This is always a Labour of Love for us. heh. WED cant edit the terrain mesh. EDIT: nickster just updated VNLK today: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=17817 - CK.

My 3 second google image search for "KCGX Meigs terminal" turned up numerous daytime shots of various angles of the terminal and tower in hi-res. http://images3.jetph..._1219492396.jpg http://www.thirtytho...go-Terminal.jpg http://farm6.static...._d71a63968a.jpg http://upload.wikime...icago-Tower.jpg Google has a specific "Image Search" capability as well as general Web search. - Ck.
