  1. His plane has possibly more manipulators than the MU-2. Though I don't know exact figures on both, there must be in the ball park of 150 manipulators in the ERJ. That's quite a lot and every ATTR command slows down sim (Manipulators are ATTR commands), then you have 6 2048 by 2048 maps, each with a normal map, then somewhere with 300,000 polygons, + or - 50,000. When you look at it that way with all the manipulator code, polygons etc, the performance hit isn't as terrible as some of the people on the .org are making it out to be. -TheoGregory
  2. Well with that reasoning going by that reasoning, The 747-200 will be released in 2 weeks
  3. As awesome as that would be, Nope.
  4. Hmm Kieran. You may be onto something there (but it was 4 oclock in the morning my time when I wrote the message so bear with me). The liveries idea i think can be done but its a little excessive for one cracked glass display. Same as the different .acf file. So here's what im thinking. Maybe the plane will be distributed with clean glass but have the cracked glass distributed with the package (its one .png file that needs to renamed and will take you 5 seconds.) For those of you who want the plane with the cracked glass, i'll post the instructions in a sticky thread within the (soon to be made) Sundowner support section of our forums. Thats the only way to keep everyone happy... To be honest, I think I should just stick it in and leave it there
  5. No it can't. The artwork for the screen is buried in one of the subdirectories of cockpit_3d.
  6. Simon, were still in decision about the cracked LCD. Its very split right down the middle. The person's opinion who counts, likes it. Big people in the FS scene love it while others don't like it... Its just a matter of opinion. Its completely realistic which is one side of the arguement as its very common to find such damage in an older steam gauge general aviation aircraft. But the other side of the argument is that if some people don't like it, it will distract from flying the plane. While those who miss it may miss it, it won't really stop them flying it and and enjoying the experience all the same. Though if the vast majority of people want it back, then I will consider putting it back in for those of you that like your planes "pre-demolished"
  7. There's a big difference between coloring and texturing...
  8. 1.8ghz dual processor 2gb RAM 7600GS (Flashed) Its ironic that i make planes that my computer is unable to fly
  9. Thank you all for your feedback on the texturing! We will see how it looks in the sim before making a final decision. Cheers, Theo
  10. There is detail in the handles but the reflection dulls the detail down... Thats something X-Plane can do better than Blender's rendering engine . Also the other side of the debate is that the throttle, carb and mixture are plastic and the paint doesn't wear down to anywhere near the level in which metal does. The plane will have the textures look realistic for the material it is made out of. Those tricks were more of generalisation. He meant I can bump map and texture with the far better than i could 6 months ago Cheers, Theo
  11. Oh gosh Maxime. Thats just one big programming nightmare. I'm sure you can expect one to be out within a year or so but it won't be by Leading Edge Simulation. Goran's and my project list is set (sort of) in concrete so far and although i'm not allowed to tell whats up coming, we know the majority of you will like it more than a A330 (we sure do, less programming!) Cheers, Theo
  12. This Aircraft will ship with Definitely: Air Rarotonga Regional Express Airlines Sprint Air Next Jet Maybe: Pacific Coastal (It largely depends if I or the requester can get there hands on a decent sized picture of the logo as the ones I have at the moment are to small. They also have different logo's for their tail if I'm not mistaken? Maybe one more livery if I find it won't take too much time to add. Not a lot of airlines own the A variant but when the B comes out, We will paint American Eagle Continetal US Airways British Airways Etc. Cheers, Theo
  13. No there isnt at the moment. That shine of the horizon was done using textures. As we don't currently have the ability to add dynamic reflection's onto the aircraft. *Crosses fingers XP10 will have that feature*
  14. Good catch on that one dhruv. Yeah that was cos I left a layer on in the master paint kit... Thanks for that!
  15. The propellor and propellor hub have not been textured but it shows which direction where going with the plane. Also the baking problems (If you can see them) are being fixed as we speak . Cheers, Theo
  16. I think thats Camerons attempt at humour...
  17. Oh I don't know. Mental health day. If you would like I will give you what I did and you can carry on.? I don't have anymore time for it. I'll finish the custom runways sometime for you though if you want it.
  18. Im going to start it over. It was the first scenery I ever made and well, lets face it, what a load of Rubbish it is. I've got a spare day today (kinda) . I might over haul it. Christchurch was being worked on but I haven't had time for a while. EDIT: Typo
  19. There all in the X-Plane.org download manager. There is also a awesome mesh pack for New Zealand at scenery.xpjets.com Its called NZ-topo-1.0rc1.zip. Cheers, Theo
  20. Quite rightly pointed out. Forgot about those. I just woke up to work on this thing cut me some slack .
  21. The Saab 340 A and B have never had a FMS inside. The B has a GPS and the A just has gauges with a moving map and artificial horizon. But all these things will be included as they are inside the Saab 340. Cheers, Theo
  22. Yes but your forgetting that X-Plane's ability to zoom in on the aircraft is directly proportional to the aircraft size. The bigger the aircraft, the less texture size needed as you are looking at it from further away. Also we wont mention 'x' pixel/m for larger planes.
