  1. Which is kinda ridiculous. There just PDF's
  2. I read with great enjoyment ola! Duchess does go well with default scenery doesn't it
  3. Slightly off topic but we have ADSL2, and 3g mobile broad band anywhere in the country (And i mean every square inch ) Back on topic... NZ would be an amazing idea. Especially round Milford sound. I do love photoscenery but I prefer it on mountainous terrain. Endless rooftops aren't my thing. Thats why I'm gonna love Oahu! . Your big rock doesn't quite cut it i'm sorry
  4. "FTX are known because of their great scenery in Australia", I would say that statement is a little in accurate. There sceneries are famous cos there damn good. If there sceneries were in based in NZ, they would have sold just the same amount if not more. I mean NZ is rolling hills and spectacular landscapes... Australia is mostly rock with a bigger oranger one in the center . (The good old, NZ vs AU feud coming out now )
  5. This plane may very well have 2d pop ups. Its definitely not a definitely. But its definitely a possibly. .
  6. I don't know... But if it's good, I can't imagine it selling at the org
  7. I'm not sure. As is with anything, I'm sure they'll announce it when they think it should be. Enough forum time for me. I need to get back to work on the Saab! I can almost hear Goran saying, "Get back to work!"
  8. I heard there was a really high quality DC-3 coming out. Not sure accurate the rumor is though...
  9. There is no way the duchess should bring your system to a crawl. It is a very frame rate friendly aircraft. It was UV mapped and textured with performance in mind. And you seem to have a perfectly capable system. YYZatcboy is correct that 10.6 would be a better choice. But a delete of the x-plane preference might do the trick too so try that first.
  10. Well gilbernl is a doing the modelling with some assistance from Goran, I'm texturing and doing probably all of the planemaker panel functionality. And programming will be done by Dennis (falcon71) So in a nut shell, Yes. We will make sure there both at the quality level we want for our aircraft!
  11. There is a reason why he did the guages as he did, I haven't yet worked out whether the same effect is possible with proper 3d guages. The effect is also done on dans ERJ where it creates a artifical glass reflection that actually looks realistic (for the most part).
  12. It is not uncommon to have two or even 3 of the same instrument inside a cockpit
  13. Yeah i'll come to a Aussie fly-in. Was too tired at 2 o'clock in the morning. And Simon, Learn Blender. Its confusing at first but once you get your head around it its all keyboard short cuts
  14. Oh i can concur that sketchup is a whole load of crap when it comes to texturing. It needs a UV mapping function. Modelling is first rate but texturing to every face? I would never make something over 20 faces or I just got bored! I have blender now
  15. Ok so its 2 oclock in the morning... I might be awake. I'll probably hop on. Not sure about my call sign but it will have 1323 in it. Just a FYI
  16. So what time (GMT) is this fly-in? They way you worded it confused me "10 AM (GMT -4), 3PM (GMT +1) and 4PM (GMT +2)". Does that mean 3 fly-ins or are you doing the conversions to some time zones and there's just 1 fly-in?
  17. The more we work on the Saab, the more we really want to get it done! We have some cool plans for this little plane. As Goran said, you should expect to see all the technologies in the Duchess and even more get into the Saab 340.
  18. Love the wing view. As a rule, during rotation pitch up to 10 degrees and then after gear lever is up, go to 15. But i loved the authentcity of the video. You captured what its like to take off, perfectly! Well done! (On my 3rd time watching now )
  19. As authentic as a post-it note is for such an aircraft , I do see the need for such a such a map in the paint kit. However due to the top secret texturing techniques and the 3gb file size (thats the real reason), I won't be uploading the psd. However I will see about making a simpler psd with just the base and maybe a layer that blacks out everything on the map except the sign with the plane registration on it. That is probably the best I can do on that front. I will upload as soon as I can however we've just had a 7.5 earthquake a couple of days ago and are still getting 3-6 point aftershocks every couple of hours. Just like turbulence -Theo
  20. Bakes, LIT textures, and ATTR Light Levels.
  21. Nice shot Maxime, Good Job Samen. MdMax, the gauge lighting can be turned off during daytime flight if the pilot wants
