  1. If you can it may be worth waiting for the ivy bridge processors to launch in march/April as they will be faster. This may also push down the price of sandy bridge processors
  2. Received my Aerosoft edition today. Shiny!
  3. Check that your drivers are up to date.
  4. There are already a couple of decent pc12s out. While the vc isn't quite up to x-aviation standards, you soon get past that with STMA's excellent offering.
  5. As per bens table on the dev blog, a few settings like cars are CPU bound, more like HDR are GPU bound and most are bus bandwidth bound I must say that I am more than happy with x-plane 10 once you sort out sweet spot settings - for me I have texture res and objects set quite high but HDR and shadows set off. This gives me a much better looking environment than v9 and some settings that I'll turn on in a few years once i get faster hardware. I have an i7 at 3.8GHz and an Nvidia 570.
  6. The throttle is the single most expensive item I intend to purchase for the sim. That said it's out of the way now so everything else should be more manageable over time. On order are FDS mip, interface card, lots of knobs, backlighting, glare shield and wings plus a single cdu. Once that arrives and is wired up things should really start looking like a cockpit. Next on the wishlist are the cpflight mcp and efis units, but Xmas will be putting a delay on those items until next year. Need to move house too, so will have to see what next year brings.
  7. Latest addition to the pit just arrived from France: Revolution Simproducts Motorised 'Pro' throttle
  8. One helicopter I would certainly like to see. That said, it would need custom sounds to do it justice.
  9. Replying from the app now! Much appreciated Cameron, tyvm.
  10. The x-aviation store is better presented as well. It would be my choice to purchase from that store as you have done.
  11. You should just drop it into resources/plugins fire up x-plane hit F8 or F9 to cycle forward or backward through views. I have not tested this with the x-plane 10 demo - where they have altered key assignments and change the camera view system from version 9. Which version of x-plane are you using?
  12. The LAX offer is at the .org store You can still get it, just spend $40 or whatever the threshold is within one month there.
  13. very nice ksgy
  14. One of our pilots reviewed her on AVSIM: http://www.avsim.com/pages/0411/ShadeTree/PC12.html
  15. I stand corrected. I will be waiting for the Aerosoft version as well.
  16. It doesn't say that Aerosoft's XP10 release will be in 2012, as they will initially be shipping the DVD version. It only says that the Hard Drive version won't be until 2012 because of the short term hard drive price increases due to the earthquakes affect on supply.

  18. Trans-Siberia Propilot Event (AN-148) Euroharmony VA are now running a new Propilot event (windows x-planers only I'm afraid - requires our flight logger and XPUIPC). http://www.fly-euroh...vents/details/2 There are no rank restrictions for flying in Propilot events so all member pilots can participate! Potential new members simply need to fly the initial training flight from Manchester Airport (EGCC) to Birmingham (EGBB) using either our B1900d, SU-80 or Twin Otter and are then eligible to sign up and participate in the event. Difficulty Easy/Medium - Aircraft is small, responsive and easy to fly both by hand and on autopilot, is fairly powerful and capable of landing at poorly equipped airports. The AN-148 is equipped with modern flight and navigation equipment, multifunctional displays and a fly-by-wire system. The weather will be challenging as the cold, dark winter descends on a snow swept Siberia. Description The Trans Siberian Railway is the longest railway in the world, connecting Moscow with the Russian Far East and the Sea of Japan. You will be flying a route that closely follows the railway as it weaves its way across Siberia in a modern Ukrainian aircraft the Antonov AN-148. Euroharmony has acquired a number of these aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 and X as well as X-Plane 9 and 10, which are located at Stockholm airport, ready for the interesting journey ahead across snow swept Siberia during the cold winter months. The AN-148 is a high reliability aircraft with built in auto-diagnosis system and auxiliary power unit. Combined with the high wing configuration and entrance stairs that enable boarding and deboarding the plane without extra ground equipment, the AN-148 is capable of use at poorly equipped airfields. There are 12 legs to this event, each of which must be flown within a 3 week window. Leg start dates are offset by 1 week. Successful completion earns you the Event badge: Aircraft Links available: http://www.fly-euroh...1.msg51530.html
  19. This: http://forums.x-pilo...ork-on-android/ Plus I much prefer the experience in tapatalk where the ui is slicker and all my forum browsing is in one place. additionally, were the plugin to be enabled for x-pilot, this would not prevent you from continuing to use the mobile skin as your preference.
  20. Any chance that we can get the tapatalk plugin installed to make it easier to browse on mobiles (iphone, ipad, android & blackberry)? http://www.tapatalk.com/ The site after installation and activation then needs to be published so it appears in searches using the tapatalk app. The app is a couple of bucks payware, but the server side installation is all free.
  21. how 'bout now?
  22. AWESOME! (too excited for lowercase) Then we just need the mac server component and then the extras like joystick handling (Don't ask for much do I )
  23. Having a bad day? Lots of great payware helis out and coming out for x-plane. This sim is really starting to take off. The aircraft list is even more impressive, as are the scenery and aircraft developer names from FSX that are dipping toes. R22 MD-902 Bell 412 Sikorsky S92 Mil Mi-17
