  1. I figured it out. I'm using Reality XP GTN750 and it auto-loads frequencies. These frequencies closely match the real frequencies that I see in Foreflight. I recently discovered the "Details" tab when clicking on the airport inside of the X-plane map. It lists communications frequencies. Thus while the AWOS for my airport in real life is 121.45, X-plane uses AWOS 3, which is 133.82. In short, there's nothing wrong with my system, I was just using incorrect frequencies, muddied a bit by the mismatch between Reality XP GTN/GNS and X-plane. But now that I know, its totally worth having the Reality XP plugins (love them).
  2. I have XP11.41 with FS Global Real Weather, Skymaxx Pro v4, and Real Weather Connector. I disabled PilotEdge plugin, and I tried disabling other plugins with no positive results I can hear ATC if I enter a flight plan or tune to one of their frequencies, but I can never get AWOS when I tune the appropriate frequency (tried at towered and non-towered airports). Am I missing a setting?
  3. I couldn't resist and had to see if it worked in the TBM900. It looks like all you need to do is lift the crash bar (but do not turn on the battery yet) and it will spark up the PFD and alternate attitude displays. These two things are connected directly to the battery bus so they come on when you lift the crash bar - they are also connected directly to the battery bus because they will be the last to survive if all other systems fail while in flight.
  4. Ah, should have thought of that. Thanks for your reply. Great aircraft!
  5. Normally the PFD can be displayed in a composite format for emergency use by pressing the DISPLAY BACKUP button on the audio panel. In the composite mode, the crew alerting function remains operative, but no map functions are available. I haven't tried this in the TBM900, but it should work.
  6. Unlike all of my other aircraft, the M20Ovation switches (lights, master, etc.) don't work with my hardware (e.g, Honeycomb Yoke). Everything seems to be configured properly in my joystick configuration, as it is with all other aircraft, but my hardware won't communicate with the Mooney switches. They only work if you click them in the 3D cockpit. Am I missing a setting?
  7. Skymaxx Pro 4.9.2 - I have 3 monitors, 2 for X-plane and 1 touchscreen below them for Air Manager. Rain from SkyMaxx Pro hits each of the two X-Plane screens as if they are two separate but identical storms. In other words, if the rain is blowing from the left, it is mirrored on each monitor instead of appearing to be one storm. Is there a way to make it look more cohesive?
  8. @jbucholz REALSIMGEAR also sells one for the TBM, with audio panel. Expensive, but seeing your setup makes me want it.
  9. Wow, that's cool! And proof positive that it can be done. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Awesome. Thank you for the fast and helpful reply.
  11. Is it possible to disengage the G1000 and have a duplicate copy on a different screen, similar to the Cessna 172 G1000 that comes with X-plane? I'm considering purchasing this plane and this would be a nice feature for me. I also use the SIMiONIC iPad G1000 apps for the 172 and it works quite well. To my knowledge the SIMiONIC apps are not compatible with the TBM 900, at least not built-in. REALSIMGEAR sells a dedicated unit with LCD displays and bezels, but its over $2000. Even so, its stunning, and probably a lot of fun with this plane. Anyway, I'm hoping one of the owners of this aircraft can tell me if the G1000 can be moved to a different screen.
