  1. Sadly he doesn't wear it like that on a daily basis, not sure what the story is behind that photo. You can see his normal beard on his youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/dighsx -NR
  2. Let's all give a warm welcome to my friend dighsx. He's new to the X-Plane community, and like all of us, has lots to learn. Let's help push him over x-plane's steep learning curve and into all of the awesome things it can do. -NR

    nVidia Titan

Yeah, that'd be a better value (maybe?), but for the few that must push the boundaries (not me, $$ are too scarce), this card is the thing to have. Imagine being able to fully max out XP-10 in ANY situation! Cant wait to see screenshots. -NR

    nVidia Titan

Who's ready to try it with XP-10? http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2013/02/19/nvidia-announces-its-next-graphics-card-the-geforce-gtx-titan/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=t.co -NR
  6. Looking very nice airfighter! -NR
  7. Use trim to your advantage. The goal is to be able to take your hand off of the stick at almost any stage of flight and the plane stays straight and level. Fiddle around with the Linearity sliders and get them how you like. Make sure to slide the Stability sliders all the way off. Have fun! -NR
  8. Hoo boy! Thanks Chris! -NR
  9. Hello, I was given the CRJ-200 as a gift in the form of a boxed copy from aerosoft and I would like to update it to the latest version. It is version 1.45. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -NR
  10. I'm continually surprised with how well the 460 handles XP10. These rendering options give me around 40 FPS in a moderately urban area: -NR
  11. Well put James. I agree. My 460 has 2GB of VRAM but I run out of GPU power before I can use it all. The 64bit version of x-plane has helped this some by being able to stuff more stuff (heheh) into the main system RAM. -NR
  12. No, little if any at all. The 690 is just two 680s in SLI, which X-Plane cannot benefit from. -NR
  13. I don't think you can add actually water to x-plane. I believe the water has to be preexisting to make a seaport/seaway. -NR
  14. Really great stuff! Do you plan on doing more PA-28 series aircraft after this? -NR
  15. Here's the current state of my projects: KSCX Has been cancelled until further notice. I am currently incapable of doing the 3d modelling that would be required to fully do this airport justice. Almost everything else is done, just needs buildings. Update projects: Currently I am working on updating a few of my older works. As I come to points in them I will post screenshots and such. 2A1 will be updated first. KEKQ is on the home stretch. Doing fine details such as taxiway signs (Frustrating and time-consuming beyond belief). I also need a hangar to replace the opensceneryx object 9: http://www.opensceneryx.com/objects/buildings/airport/hangars/metal/9/index.html Which looks tacky. If anybody has one like that, please let me know if you would be willing to let me use it. With recognition of course. -NR
  16. I think it is Jason Chandler's. Really nice model. -NR
  17. Are you using WED or overlay editor? If you are using WED, they are under the "Lights" placement tool. -NR
  18. Well, I don't fly a whole lot of well planned cross-country, but I do remember a couple trips taking way too long. I'll have to look into that. -NR

    Hangars

These might come in handy. Thanks! -NR
  20. It is currently impossible to do shiny metal liveries for the DC-3 because there is no reflection dataref. It just wouldn't look right. -NR
  21. Thanks again for making these 3TB! -NR
  22. Oh wow thanks! That looks just like the real one. Yes, Gl lighting would be nice. Thanks so much! -NR
  23. It is at 2A1. I'm updating it and it needs better hangars. It is a row hangar with alternating doors. (left/right/left/right and so on) I don't have any pictures of it at the moment. -NR
  24. Speaking of hangar objects, I need one for another project that is about 35' wide by 320' long if anyone has one. -NR
