  1. OK since it seems to be a secret: apparently it depends on an old OpenGL-engine that has to be updated first by Laminar. It seems that during development of the Saab, this problem has been reported to Laminar. So: YES, in future, even our actual hardware should become a better use of it by X-Plane. So hoping won't just be a game but a reality i guess Rectify me Cameron if i wrote something wrong. ..
  2. OK, it's a pity but good to know...
  3. I'm posting this in the only sound-thread i've found: When i am observing in the replay-function the landing of the Saab from a viewpoint near the RWY, i get no engines sounds. In fact, the engine-sounds only can be heard after the aircraft has touched down. It's really strange. Not sure if this is a bug or me doing something wrong?
  4. Hi everybody I have the same huge fps-drop issue with an i7 4770k and GTX Titan 6GB, when having HDR on and i will try to find a good compromise in the settings. But i dont want to switch HDR to off, because that doesnt make sense to me. Since it seems that Laminar still has to optimize the HDR-engine, can we hope that this HDR-iussue will be "fixed" in the future? At the same time, i was asking myself what the exact reasons were. Is the Saab just using more HDR light-sources? I dont have any idea about it but until yet i only observed that the airports-scenerys had a big impact on the HDR (Aerosoft scenerys). But less the aircrafts itselves... So, is there really no optimizing-potential from your point of view Cameron? If no, so we will have to accept it and wait ;-)
  5. Hi arb I had the same problem and i found out why. It's because i didn't advanced the condition levers to “UNFEATHER”, paused a few seconds, before moving them to “MAX”. I moved it at the first step to max and i had not enough power after having taken off. The second time i made it exactly as described in the manual and it worked very well (i had enough power).
  6. Congrats for the "coming out"
  7. Cool. Cameron, just one question: why do you not just announce the date of release 1-2 days later than you are thinking ? So nobody will be disappointed and you will perhaps have less stress?
  8. Very nice! So we finally will have the chance to fly it this week-end ...great! ;-)
  9. Hi Kris As we already wrote here, PFPX supports the X-Plane-Format, so that you can export the flightplanes. Why do you make a flightplanner dependant from any simulator? A flightplan will be the same for each of the sim u are using. And if the parameters used for any aircraft are different from the one in XP, you can fine-tune the values by yourself, so that for example the predicted fuel-flow fits to the one of your plane.
  10. Hi jimbim There is really no comparaison, believe me. PFPX is hundreds time better and can do a lot more, from what i saw in a preview for Goodway. Your should ask in the support-Forums how to deal wit the CRJ2. I didn't flew it since the tool came out. I am flying for now the A320, B772+B773, x737 and B727. And of course i am waiting for the FF757 and b733...
  11. Wuaw! That's really great! So much scenerys in Mexico would be very appreciated, for sure! Can i already give you my credit card numbers?
  12. The only advantage of Goodway for XP-users would be the moving-map. Otherwise you just can't compare both: PFPX is just ammmmazing! I NEVER would buy Goodway again after having purchased PFPX.
  13. Hi Scubajuan Thanks very much for these detailled informations. I now understand better how much work it will need and i am sure that it will look great! Flying to Mexico city will be a great experience! Thanks in advance for your work!
  14. That's really great, even i can't see visually any difference to today. But perhaps it's just me ;-)
  15. You really can try to convert it and ad just a few HDR-lights, this shouldn't take a lot of time. I can help you if you want.
  16. That are great news! Very good decision guys! So now it will be no question anymore: i will for sure purchase it! ;-)
  17. These are great news! I looked at the pictures and if the XP-version looks like this it will be for sure one of the best scenerys available for X-Plane! Wuaw! What a surprise if it will be available in the next days. I really look forward to it, since i am missing a good scenery in central-america a long time ago! I can't wait anymore now that i saw the pictures... :) p.s. i think i've read too fast...so it's only the FSX-version who will be out in the next days, right? Anyway, that are still great news. Did you already tried to convert it with FS2XP and then doing some little cleaning-ups?
  18. Thanks Cameron for the informations! I didnt knew there were A and B versions but now everything is clear ;-)
  19. OK but i really didnt found anything about this. But i admit not having read alle hundreds posts about this aircraft. For the second part of your answer: in fact an FMS or GPS could be integrated in this aircraft, since i found posts of real pilots having used an FMS in the Saab 340. But it is not standard-equipment, that's right. But it would perhaps be an idea for an option in the future ;-)
  20. Well, i searched for "FMS" but the search-engine only works with 4 or more letters.
  21. OK, thanks. So we will have to put the Universal FMC inside
  22. can you explain this reaction? Some of the Saab 340 had FMS or GPS-systems. So i think the one who is stupid here...
  23. Do the Saab 340 have an FMC as well? Or how do work the navigation?
  24. Nice and a lot of space!
