  1. I flew the C172 last night in v10 and it seemed to be just fine. I'll have to do some more extensive flying in 10 before I can give you a definitive answer, but on first look, they seem to be okay.
  2. Not trying to scoop anybody on this deal, but Carenado just announced a huge Christmas Sale on all their X-Plane aircraft. 50% off! And if you have MSFS2004 or MSFSX, they're on sale too....up to 60% off! If you've considered buying a Carenado product but were holding off because of price....you have no excuse now! http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php
  3. Received my package today! Shipped via USPS on Dec. 5. I would have had the package on Saturday, but we don't get mail at the studio on Saturdays. Now the fun begins!
  4. Speechless......beauty!
  5. From the horse's mouth: On Dec 7, 2011, at 11:59 PM, Ben Supnik wrote: Hi Y'all, So I sort of, um, screwed up the beta 2 build process...the result was no Plane-Maker and Airfoil-Maker. This is fixed for beta 3, which is now available. Just let X-Plane auto-update and Plane-Maker and Airfoil-Maker will be back. This beta also has a few more crash bug fixes. cheers ben
  6. We mid range machine guys appreciate your efficiency!
  7. You celebrate any time you want! We're all just as excited as you with every step you make. Keep it up!
  8. Funny, I'm a Mac guy and you would think I would consider the X-Plane 9 interface unfriendly, but I have never given the interface a second thought. To me, it seems quite intuitive. I actually find the manual a bit daunting and not very well written. Most of the X-Plane "knowledge" I have has come from other X-Planers and forums, rather than the manual, or just playing with the sliders and menu items to see what they do. Personally, I don't mind the interface at all. For me, everything else X-Plane has to offer makes up for any perceived deficiency in the interface.
  9. Most definitely will help next time I fly there. Thanks!
  10. Okay, I'm not much of a video guy. I don't have any video editing software so this is an uncut, unedited clip of a quick flight out of and back to Courchevel, France. Compare to the Beech Baron landing on Youtube. I landed a bit long, but at least the Duchess has great brakes! http://youtu.be/uNFNFZq2BFY
  11. I use Tom Sedge's and Sandy's plugins. I fly on a Mac. Those plugins run the Saitek Radio Panels, Switch Panel and Multi Panel. The yoke, throttle quadrants and rudder pedals are run through default X-Plane button and control assignments. I also have Saitek's TPM module, but I don't have a plugin to run the 9 switches. The throttle, prop and mixture controls work fine. I know I could build a plugin to run the switches, but I am not a programmer and have little to no interest in learning. If anyone has a plugin for the TPM, I'd be grateful for a copy! Or if you want to build one for me, I'd entertain the thought of sending you my TPM so you could write me a plugin. There is another Saitek plugin at the org written by Sparker (Bill) http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=14646 I've played with it a bit, but I still prefer Tom's and Sandy's plugins.
  12. Never mind.....didn't realize there had been other posts.......
  13. Yes, the Saitek Panels are run by plugins. My concern was that it could be, as you said, that Pete might use different datarefs.
  14. Oh, and I forgot to say "HOLY COW!" She's looking great!
  15. I sure hope this sweet bird is going to be compatible with Saitek panels. I have Radio Panels along with the Multi Panel and the Switch Panel. I'm sure there won't be any problems with the yoke, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals.
  16. You might want to post this question in the Carenado Support thread at the org: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showforum=106
  17. Doh! Didn't realize it was the same thing. Thanks, Cameron!
  18. Pete, have you considered the KLN90B from EADT? Could be a fun retro solution to the GPS question. http://www.eadt.eu/index.php?New-EADT-project-KLN90B-GPS-Device
  19. +1 Amen, and Amen!
  20. But you have to admit, it IS funny.
  21. Ummm.....I'm not dissing him at all. I love the guy. You have misconstrued my comments completely. I was just trying to go along with the joke. In fact, I thought it was great that he would make fun of himself.
  22. I'm well aware this was a joke and my response was in the same spirit. I was hoping it was Austin poking fun at himself. From what I have seen of him, he has a bit of a warped sense of humor and it didn't surprise me to see something like this. Oh well, some people have more time on their hands than sense.
  23. Perfect! I assume the LBUS keys will be available no sooner than 6 months after X-Plane 10 ships. Any discounts on multiple sticks?
  24. No problema, Carlos. No hay que disculparse. Este sitio es mundial.
