Goran provides unprecedented customer service to his clients. He is quick to respond and extremely professional in the help he provides. Knowing not all of us are as skilled as some, he does not judge but delivers the service needed to the questions asked. Well done sir! Keep up the good work!

Thanks Goran. Now I have the clearer picture of the TMB team. Thank for the link, and yes I will join in. Ben was busy yesterday with revision and doing a great job. You have been fantastic too. Hopefully, Toto is so bombarded on Discord that he is unable to focus on the TBM, and I won’t add to it but may add what is relavent and help for him. As I did two years ago, making the decision to shift my focus from Energy to Architecture, making the move to full time Aircraft creation for him may be a tough one, but I will do my part to contribute financially. Producing only Study Level Aircraft would separate Hotstart from all the rest of the GA aircraft producers. Myself, I would love to see a Phenom 300. Thanks again for you and Toto are doing for the Sim Community.

Well, the level of support you have provided reflects on you as a representative of the company. I, as well as other will appreciate whatever you provide to, at the very least, validate these latest 1.1.6v questions. Tell me, other than Toto and yourself, who else is instrumental in the TBM's development? Is there a site where they hangout? I'm looking for a place I know they will see and hear from their community of supporters. I have no doubt they are seeing all this and to not reply does make sense, as they would get nothing done except field questions on forums. Which is precisely why I asked for the Textbook Flight. In addition to what you provide, I trust Toto would be willing to fulfill this request as requested. He's got nothing to lose and everything to gain showing off the true colors of the sim. Please not in a live stream. that is too distracting and causes one to jump around plus, those of us who are unable, or where not aware, and did not call in, feel left out and disconnecting from the conversation when watching it later. Better to make a "See how your TBM experience compares to mine" and let me know what you find so we can further improve our product.

Goran, I'm up early this Sunday morning and checking in to see how your flight went last night. I just wanted to add...my request for a TEXTBOOK FLIGHT by TBM video would do a number of things to promote not only this fabulous aircraft but the outstanding, and well respected professionals like yourself that were integral in making it happen. As I reflect back on my Flight Sim history, albeit returning after a long sabbatical, from the early days of VATSIM to the first add-on aircraft for FSX, never do I recall a developer doing anything like this.. Granted we did not have internet as we know it today, but the thought of a developer doing a stock flight showcasing all the features of their product, complete with setup, hardware specs, software settings, everything a customer might find helpful in either mirroring his/her system or at the very least comparing their performance to yours, has never been done. Please somebody correct me if I am wrong. Coming from a career in Sales and Marketing I can tell you the more transparent you are with the customer the more trust they will have in you.Toto's two Live intro sessions were, IMHO, a real game changer and one of the smartest moves HOTSTART made other than the decision produce the TBM in the first place. Getting up close and personal with your users is precisely what builds brand loyalty and long term sustainable sales growth. You guys are doing it right and I will buy whatever you produce, if for no other reason, to support People of integrity, and you make fine products. Thanks again and I await a link to your video.

Goran, As a representative of the company, thanks for stepping in. That is why I suggest you state your hardware and setup as well as flight plan details. If we then can emulate your flight with the same outcome then there is a basis to troubleshoot. I look forward to seeing your post and video and making the flight myself.
-
Perhaps we could get Toto or Goran to video a text book flight from start to finish following all the procedures running the TBM through all its paces. From there we can all, with our unique setups fly the exact same flight using all the same add-one and settings. If then the flight goes well then it is something we are doing incorrectly during flight causing the various anomalies. Make sense to me and why would Anyone object if we are to realize the TBM is as aswesome as it seems to be.

My problem resolved. New download, installed without XP running. 11.32r

I downloaded my update and went to install it like I have done with all the others since first release. This time, however, I received a GIZMO installing (See attached). First, I have no idea what or how this GIZMO whatever it is even got on my PC; Second, how do I correct this so I can complete the installation? Am I the only one to receive this error? This kind of issue is precisely why I try to avoid ADD-ONs like FLYWITHLUA and many others. All this stuff if not managed automatically with the software installation, just muddies up the water and make flying no longer fun but a PITA to get the sim up and running. Please help as I love the TBM. Thanks,

Bret, I downloaded FyWithLua when I have the X-52Pro thinking I could use the x52 Stuff for all the fancy light changes, etc. What I found was another programming code I know nothing about. I was hoping TARGET would be a bit more straight forward that the it is turning out to be. I guess there is only so much that can be done with knowing some code speak and that just isn't me. I simply want to fly IFR and control my TBM the smartest way possible. You obviously know FWL. Can you tell me in step form what I need to do to install FWL? Where does it go, and what do I do with it. If scripts exist to control the TBM with my controller then where do they go and how do I ensure they are running when needed? All the author tells you is to read the manual. I tried and it way too deep to learn simply to control my aircraft. I posted the exhaustive post on the TARGET software hoping someone would come to my aid. So far no response on X-plane and you guys here seem to have more activity with application so I though maybe here. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you all

I POSTED THIS ON X-PLANE FORUM AND THEN I FOUND YOUR THREAD. https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/173836-thrustmaster-target-gui-software-for-x-plane/ My ideal setup would program as much as possible to the Stick and Throttle to minimize keyboard interaction during flight. I am hoping one of you fine pilots has already thought of this and knows more about mapping the HOTAS inside the TARGET GUI than I will ever know or care to know and is willing to share profiles and or your wisdom and knowledge to help me achieve my goal. Whatever I end up with will of course be shared with all. My Achilles heel with X-plane and most especially the G1000 equiped aircraft like the C172, and TBM 900, is with the mouse control. Zooming in and out while also hovering over a dial on the correct side and using the scroll wheel to change the dials, and let us not forget...we still have to fly the plane really ruins the immersion of the flight sim experience. If all I want to do is stick and Rudder VFR then all this is less of an issue, but I want a realistic IFR experience. Description of what I envision...right, wrong or worded incorrectly here goes.... One aspect of critical control in the sim is to map mouse control over to the HOTAS. Leaving the mouse for X-plane GUI interaction only. An example would be to map 1 button or hat switch press to cycles through the COMM, NAV and FMS dials without having to position the mouse over the dial. Once on the correct dial, use another mapped button, preferably on the throttle, to rotate the inner and outer dials, (Mhz and Khz of the NAV/COMM and position of FMS), then use say the Paddle on the Throttle (reminds me a a rocker style paddle Shifter in a sports car) to rotate the dial left or right to change the freq. or position (FMS). Another press of the cycle button and over to the NAV or COMM, and repeat the process to change what is needed. Another button to push in on the FMS dial or swap between COMM 1&2 or NAV 1&2 and one more to flipflop active and stndy by. Of Course there could be other buttons or axis used but the above will give you an idea if what I envision. I've given some thought to how I might like what mapped where but without the skill to program the needed functions it would be a waste of time to express them all here. Instead of getting into that on this first post, I figured it best to frame the scenerio and let you all provide your thoughts to subject. Hopefully, something productive with come of this effort. I must admit I'm surprized no one has done this already or if they have I am in the wrong place inquiring. Below is a response I received from a kind YouTuber X_Bendable MaxRich I thought might be helpful and more illustrative for, again, you guys that have forgotten more about this stuff than I will ever know - sorry, I love that saying. X_Bendable MaxRich has a rather lengthy 1:21:11 video describing how he works the TARGET GUI software - again, all way over my head. Feel free to visit his link if this information is of interest to you(See posts below) With all that said, what am I asking here? 1. Is there a forum that supports the THRUSTMASTER T.A.R.G.E.T. software for x-plane or or share Profiles created for various aircraft? 2. Do any of you use the Thrustmaster T16000M FCS Flight Pack and if so please reach out to me? 3. Are you skilled in the use to the TARGET GUI and will to help me with the setup? 4. Lastly, and according to X-Bendable, this stuff is addictive. He states in his quotes below, all this is doable. Perhaps so, but he has been using the GUI for over a year. I am of course very grateful he provided a detailed a response as he did, even though it's all way over my at this point. "I just assign keys in the sim and then assign buttons to those keys using the target GUI. If you can assign a key to a function, then you can assign a button to that key. You could use sequence to cycle through the COMM, NAV and FMS dials. When you use "sequence", each press will perform the next item in the sequence. Using a "hold" on the paddle to "increase" or "decrease" the frequency should work fine. It rotates as long as you hold the button. Switching Mhz and Khz again is simply assigning key strokes to different button presses or as I did, one with a modifier and one without. Everything you want to do is easily possible simply using the Target GUI, I believe. I don't have the TWCS. Check both the Target Script Manual and the Target GUI manual. It is a learning curve but not really a hard one. Comm inner ring up "hold" comm inner ring down "hold" will spin the dial when the button is held. G1000 heading up, G1000 heading down etc. is also used that way. I put all My G1000 dials on my 4 hats on the stick with 3 layers. If my flap switch is up, I have one layer, 4 functions per hat. If My flap switch is in the middle, I have another layer, If it is down, I have another layer. I also have a flap on the stick which when held is another in and out layer which doubles all of those again. Although you could cycle through the modes using "sequence" there is room to simply go directly to the the function,. I.E. G1000 Pilot ALT Inner RIng up on a "hold" on a hat somewhere. WIth 3 modifiers and an in and out, the same hat could be used for 6 different dials or actually 12 since you only need 2 axis there. Hats work well for dials. The biggest problem people have is they assign key bindings in Target that are already in use by Skype, DIscord, SRS, TeamSpeak and most often Windows keyboard shortcuts. The Windows shortcuts are a huge factor. As we saw, the Windows assigned Alt-Tab showed exactly how that can happen. In this case, I wanted to use the actual windows alt-tab as the windows alt tab and so it was not an error. Be careful with alt- and shift combos. DO a search on Windows keyboard shortcuts. Shadowplay and TrackIR are some more with defaults that may conflict your key bind." Thanks all and hope this sparks more interesting dialogue.

Next step down? In the list? I did not use the multi-engine list just the basic. Should I redo it and pick from that list?
-
I think I hear you. Thrust reverser mapped ok. How do I get from Low Idle to Cuttoff?
-
Thanks Goran, and speaking of CHARTS...I noticed this mapped under TBM "kEY1" What does this tell me? Is it an internal feature mapping function? Also, what control does the TBM have in terms of Controller manipulation?Because there is no Physical Throttle hardware to emulate the TBM's, I see the High/Low Idle which I mapped to keyboard F12 but what about CUTOFF and FLIGHT IDLE? I really want to get away from the mouse at all costs. I been able to get some interesting mapping to my TM TWCS THROTTLE buttons but would like to know how much control we have or is WYSIWG? Thanks.
-
If someone would confirm same. KDWH is showing -320' ft and pressing BARO does nothing. THe chart reports 152'. I have no add-on scenery. NO WIND is displaying in the PDF either.
-
DO you know if this will be corrected? This is a very nice feature that TOTO added.
-
What do you mean "except Charts don't work for obvious reason". I have never seen the chart in my system, but only really tried with 11.30. Where are you all getting these bit if Intel? I feel like I am in a fishbowl and everyone know what's going on but me.
-
Navigraph installed but still no charts? What am I doing wrong. I found all the charts SIDS, STARs, etc in the Navigraph Desktop app but nothing showing up in TBM.

Goran, First, Thank you for sharing this with us all. Second, Any idea why this plugin or feature enhancement, is not listed in a "GOTTA HAVE IT TO FLY" type location? As new user of X-plane each day is a new discovery. Features like this one abound produced by brilliant minds like yourself. It's too bad Forums like X-Plane don't have a MUST READ Section Entitled - All you should know to maximize your X-plane experience. Oh well, one can always hope. ------------------------------------------------------ StopZoomingDammit plugin. What is the purpose of this plugin? This is a small plugin for X-Plane that temporarily inhibits the X-Plane mouse-wheel-to-zoom function. When using the mouse wheel to adjust a control in the cockpit, it's common to accidentally "slip off" the control while spinning the mouse wheel. In that case, X-Plane will start zooming the view in or out and this can be extremely annoying. This plugin prevents view zooming using the mouse wheel. You can define a joystick button or keyboard key to temporarily enable mouse wheel zoomming by simply assigning one of the following commands to your controls of choice: * ``stopzooming/allow_zoom_hold`` - while holding down this command, you will be able to zoom using the mouse wheel. When you release the command, mouse-wheel-zoom will be inhibited again. * ``stopzooming/allow_zoom_toggle`` - trigger this command to toggle between enabling and disable mouse wheel zoom. The plugin doesn't affect joystick or keyboard zoom commands (``sim/general/zoom_*``) as well as zooming due to different view presets (``sim/view/quick_look_*`` or the quick-look functions using NumPad keys). Those remain fully functional. Installation Simply unzip the plugin and drop it under ``Resources/plugins`` in X-Plane. Then define your mouse-zoom-allow function as described above and that's it. There is no further configuration required. Compatibility The plugin should work with any X-Plane aircraft. However, it might conflict with camera-control plugins such as X-Camera. The plugin has only been tested with the stock X-Plane camera system. Is anyone else having this issue? I am finding it very challenging to position my mouse pointed in the correct place and have it stay there while I scroll the dial. Also noticed not all of the dials respond to scroll. Could be a conflict in my X-52Pro mapping, which is why I wish there was a location THREAD where users could post... Type of Controller Mapping settings Add-ons and mapping ...but I digress, since I would rather use a hat switch to look around and only use the mouse for switch clicking there should be a way to control the zooming function of the mouse. All help and suggestions welcome. Thanks

All, thank for the personal feedback. I found the Manuals and placed the links to them below. https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?productID=606065&tab=manuals http://www.tbm.aero/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/PIM_TBM900__E1.pdf I've only just begun my TBM adventure in X-plane with Hotstart so forgive my ignorance in asking as I have not viewed all the posts on this site. Reading through the Hotstart manual there are a number of places stating "This feature not supported". Due to my lack of experience with the plane, but as a Real World Pilot, I have to ask...have the question(s) been answered regarding 1) Are the limitations with the HS TBM a function of X-plane, which we cannot control, or is it the HS team has yet to fully enable all Aircraft and the G1000 NXi functionality to date? 2) Has a list been assembled stating what features ( limitations) of the aircraft and Nav system, are not functioning per the Real World product? It would help to know in advance what areas to be aware of so as not to get frustrated when the manual says Y but I can only do X. Thank you all,
