  1. Really guys, this looks truly awesome. If the main systems are deeply simulated, this will be a masterpiece, hats off !
  2. At least, we got DCS : UH-1 which is pretty impressive ... probably the most advanced Huey simulation ever done. I really doubt any model for X-Plane/FS will reach that level of simulation of all systems, from hydraulics, to turbine management, passing by mast bumping etc etc ...
  3. That sounds fantastic !
  4. Thanks for support, it's much appreciated !
  5. Who knows, it'll surely become a great game to release pressure after X-Plane long courier flights.. Keep an eye on this one.
  6. Lookin' forward to it ;-)
  7. Pripyat river yeah .. Theres many strange things out there, wrecks rusty boats, giant fishes.. After all, my fascination for the whole thing make me work on Blender today, I decided to make the tower, the Symbol of that catastrophic accident, as detailed as I can, while do everything to try to keep it light on FPS. That work of tubes attach was a nightmare, I had to compare many dozens of real picture to understand actually how it's built.. those Ukrainian are strange sometimes.. WiP - Ventilation Chimney
  8. Yes, this is the video Nicola_M show us earlier. Basically, you don't really can prevent it. It's a physical phenomenon related to turbine ( or piston engine ) vibration frequency, rotor vibration frequency and ground asphalt rigidity. It's caused by a unbalanced rotor, but it become unbalanced on his own, on normal operation, that rotor was perfectly balanced, but that oscillating movement just amplify the thing. All ground resonance always happen on very Hard Surfaces which do not absorb vibration at all : Here, the pilot didn't understand the only way to escape this hell is to take off : This time, that pilot ( probably ex military pilot who served in Vietnam, with thousands of hours on chopper ) did the right thing, he didn't wait that the Gazelle become many spare parts, he quickly take off and the ground resonance was gone. The only thing you can do to avoid entering into this phenomenon is to land ( or take off ) on good grass, smooth, that help absorbing vibrations. But new modern helis like EC-135 etc.. seems to have something to prevent this thing, as we can see sometimes see EC-135, 145 or those new modern heli, waiting on taxiway ( hard surface ) at idle or even at normal flight regime, without any problems.. probably something related to landing gear flexibility ( or hardness ? ) and dampers on the rotor system. On that area I don't know much, I would love to meet some Eurocopter engineer to have the right answer. Hope to have explained a bit ;-) Have a nice day guys ! Valentin
  9. You make me dream Oliver, now I want a video ( or a screen without PAUSED ! ) over Seattle, full details, full building, melt GPU etc... and if you achieve your 60 FPS on an FPS killer ACFT like LES Duchess, Ok, I save quickly 1000 € and go buy that damn PC !!
  10. Lol Ben , you were unlucky that day.. I MUCH prefer bird than spiders, even if both are usually totally inoffensive..
  11. Yes guys, the second was what we call " Dynamic Rollover ". To be short, when your Heli start to fall on a side, usually pilot tend to apply opposite side cyclic action, that's not what we should do, just take off and do a proper landing. Those accident, or not always deadly, but fatal for airframes, the fact that a big rotating system, turning fast and being heavy is to be managed properly or...
  12. Arf, again those fu***ng ground resonnance ... They should know the only escape is pull the collective and take off quickly to dissipate the vibrations, let it on the ground, letting vibration go through the ground is the best thing to destroy your Chopper .. - -
  13. Lol guys 300 FPS.. how much did you pay that ? My 2009 laptop can get over 35 FPS on XP9 medium Settings 300 fps seems unimaginable for me
  14. The B-17 one is almost finished, I have to tweak a tiny bit the blades and improve dramatically the HUB mith all bolts, small details etc... Flat Pitch ( 0 ° ) Low Pitch ( 17 ° ) Full Feathered ( 90 ° )
  15. NB: support is aviable on the org
  16. cool !
  17. Oh god.. 90 FPS ? Man, In XP9 i Can't go above 40 FPS without shaders... I really need a new computer
  18. You should notice screenshots on first page of this thread were take under XP10, and a plane that work for XP9 also work for XP9 no ? In order to waiting the " V10 Optimised "
  19. Thanks ! Some progress on the Hamilton ones :
  20. Well, scenery cancelled for the moment, maybe when I'll have more time or when people when get more interested in those kind of obscure things.. I'll take a look at " healthy " sceneries xD, like in tropical islands.
  21. Hello everyone, how are you ! As found many great ACFT ( Freeware or Payware ) got some strange looking ( sometimes completely unrealistic propeller ) I decided to launch myself into the creation of some 3D model of some famous props, I've started with three ones I love the most : Hamilton Standard Hydromatic propeller for the DC-3 and the B-17, and the Sumitumo one ( build under liscence from Hamilton Standard ) , the prop of the mighty Zero Nipon fighter. I plan to do something like 50 most popular propeller, both WfWII plane and modern GA, through regional turboprop, this to express my passion for props, that mighty part of an Aircrafts, and to learn blender world.. I wish to make this livery freeware and free to use to everyone who create a cool aircraft and want nice looking propeller Enjoy guys !
  22. I know Lady but.. I would say you didn't have chance with Alfredo, as he is usually very nice guy and helpful, I got him two days ago and the update is on the way.
  23. Unfortunately, the most realistic helicopter in X-P - as with the R22 - is not very popular, people find it too " hard " to fly.. its just a real heli, without any artificial stabilisation ..
  24. Very nice !
  25. Hello Simmo, I would like to send you a PM but your box seems to be full.. I'm think you can help me, as you developped your CBD in Blender, how did you export Blender objects into X-Plane Overlay Editor ? I downloaded and installed Xplane2blender but when I try to export my object to X-Plane, I got " Error : You must create X-Plane layer first "... But I would like to test it in game to see the FPS impact so.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a nice day dude ! Valentin
