  1. Thank you for the First Officer volume adjustment. Checklist interaction is much more enjoyable, now that other immersive sounds can be heard without the overbearing FO voice. Thanks again!
  2. Can you please followup on this feature request? It is still the case that if I set the FO audio volume to a pleasant level, other sounds like footsteps and door openings are too low. Thanks.
  3. Is there a way to lower the volume of the First Officer as he goes through the checklist, without using the Windows 10 volume control? If I set the Officer's volume to a pleasant level, other sounds like footsteps and door openings are too low. Also, can Windows 10 third-party voices be substituted for the First Officer?
  4. Can Windows 10 third party voices be substituted for the copilot, ground crew, and FBO personnel?
  5. Can Windows 10 third party voices be substituted for the copilot, ground crew, and FBO personnel?
  6. Using SkyMaxx Pro's volumetric clouds with X-Plane 11.51, my FPS goes from high thirties to low forties while flying low over Orbx London scenery (lots of clouds) in the Rotate MD-80, but the flight is very smooth. My system is an i9 9900K running at 4700MHz with an RTX 2080 Ti and 1440p monitor. Keep up the good work.
  7. Webroot is active but never has been a problem before.
  8. I'm stuck in an endless loop, license will not update. Vulkan is enabled with beta version of Gizmo.
  9. Jan, in another thread, suggested that a mod/tweak to artref values (if you used some popular mods) may interfere with “lit” textures for the 737. So I decided to go to Resources\bitmaps and delete the entire bitmaps folder; then I used the X-Plane installer to replace those files. This process was successful. All 737 cockpit lighting works well now.
  10. Text on the glare shield and overhead panel is very difficult to see at night. Rheostats are turned as high as possible. HDR is on. I'm using X-Plane 11.50b10 with Vulkan enabled. Please advise.
  11. Thanks for the reply. I'll continue to monitor the RJ's progress and when it goes final give it another try.
  12. I've tried to follow the nightly build, current aircraft file date is October 13, 2014. Each time I tried to load the last few builds, X-Plane hangs at the point where the RJ100 is loading. As this is a beta, I'm wondering if others have this issue with X-Plane 10.30 and Windows 7 when using the RJ100.
  13. Is this beta referred to as the "nightly update?"
  14. See post #9 here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=70196&hl=kln90b#entry762823 Hope I'm not causing any problems for X-Aviation, simply wanted to share my experience with the KLN 90B. I enjoy the SAAB even more with it :-) Vance
  15. If you'd like another GPS option besides the Fix-to-Fix, the KLN 90B works well here. It will command the lateral guidance in GPS mode, but ground speed (GSP) and time-to-go (TTG) are removed from the EHSI display when you do this. There seems to be no other effect from using the KLN 90B. When there is an aggressive change of direction between two route legs, the autopilot begins the turn and the SAAB will slightly overshoot that turn; then the SAAB will settle nicely on the desired track. Here's a route I flew from Wilmington to Atlanta: KILM ILM BARTL MULLS DWYTE FLO CAE IRQ BEYLO SINCA CANUK HUSKY ZAMAS BOJAA FOGOG SOTRE HESPI WESEK SLAWW KIMMS KATL While the waypoint names and symbols won't appear on the EHSI, the desired track will. XHSI2 is very useful for displaying the entire route and waypoint symbols, and is a good complement to the KLN 90B. So, for those times when you don't want to fly the SAAB the old fashion way, the KLN 90B is another GPS navigation choice. Regarding the aircraft itself, it really feels like a finished product (three years in the making). Well done. Vance
  16. File Name: KILM Flight and Ground Routes File Submitter: Vance File Submitted: 27 Apr 2013 File Category: Plugins and Utilities Air and ground traffic are available for KILM (Wilmington Intl, payware). World Traffic aircraft and start locations are: - KC-10 near gate 7 - F-14 near hanger behind control tower - Columbia near Air Wilmington - C-130 near Customs tarmac A few things to keep in mind. KILM has crossing runways and sometimes World Traffic will place two aircraft on the same taxiway for a head-on collision. The KC-10 is rather large so any aircraft of similar size at gate 5 or 8 will need to taxi before the KC-10 has room to maneuver. The Columbia is hard to see when zoomed out from the airport because the light-colored wings match some taxiway colors. Use the optional object file for red wings on the Columbia. Flight plans begin in the air (not a departure airport) and all KILM runways have been defined; so landing should be possible for any wind condition. Click here to download this file

  18. If you'd like an option to use the Checklister plugin, here's a checklist for the Douglas DC-3. Note that whenever the aircraft is first opened, three check-box items related to the Fuel Tank Selectors are missing the asterisk that indicates copilot support. To correct this go to the Plugins Menu, click on Plugin Admin, select Enable/Disable, then uncheck and recheck the box for Checklister. You can also reload the aircraft to add the three asterisks. Other check-box items missing an asterisk were not defined for copilot support. Naturally, you can check the Fuel Tank Selectors manually and skip the procedures stated above. Feel free to use this clist file as a template to customize the checklist as desired. Regards, Vance clist.txt
  19. This checklist uses many custom datarefs. It also includes some check-box items you may want to delete. For example, there are references to points in the procedure where you would contact: Delivery (Delv) Ground (Grnd) Tower (Twr) Approach/Departure (Appr) Center (Ctr) Delete the following 10 lines if you don't want them, or change the generic call sign from MyPlane to something more appropriate. sw_item:IFR Clearence to (city)|Call Delv sw_item:MyPlane ready for pushback|Call Grnd sw_item:MyPlane holding short RWY (xx)|Call Twr sw_item:MyPlane airborne passing (alt)|Call Appr sw_item:MyPlane passing (alt)|Call Ctr sw_item:MyPlane request lower alt|Call Ctr sw_item:MyPlane at (alt)|Call Appr sw_item:Clear to land RWY (xx)|Call Twr sw_item:MyPlane cleared RWY (xx)|Call Grnd sw_item:MyPlane at the gate|Call Grnd On my system there is one thing I have to do to make some asterisks appear for copilot support. Go to the Plugins menu, click on Plugin Admin, select Enable/Disable, then uncheck and recheck the box for Checklister. If I don't do this the checklist still works but I'll have to check more boxes manually. Feel free to change the clist file any way you like since my approach to things will surely be different from yours. Have fun. Vance clist.txt
  20. I think it's important to know what works, not just problems that occur. I use an i7 950 at 3.7GHz and a Radeon 5850 with 64-bit Windows 7. I've logged over 10 hours in version 1.1 with "number of aircraft" set to 20 and "flight models per frame" set to 1. Also several plugins were loaded (see attachments). After many flights, the longest being 1.5 hours, I haven't had a single CTD or a single instance where X-Plane failed to load the CRJ at startup. For most flights XSquawkBox was enabled so the 19 AI aircraft were not running. I made one flight with XSquawkBox disabled and XTraffic running 19 aircraft at KSEA. Again, no problems. Now here's what's interesting. If the CRJ is loaded when X-Plane starts (cold and dark condition) and you open the aircraft again, X-Plane will freeze after connecting the GPU and pressing the AC button. This did not occur with version 1.0. The only way to recover is ctrl-alt-delete. No crash log is produced. As long as I don't open the CRJ back-to-back, I can start the aircraft and be on my way. Hope you find this feedback useful. Regards, Vance
  21. Try this checklist. You'll need the Checklister Plugin. Each startup check-box on page 5 should have an asterisk beside it, if not just open the CRJ again. Follow each step in sequence beginning with power-up. This is intended to be a condensed version of the tutorial text and video; which were both extremely helpful to me. Maybe these procedures will help as well. Vance clist.txt
  22. Here's a checklist for the CRJ-200. It requires Snailpup's Checklister plugin. Most flight phases are covered and you should start the aircraft from a cold and dark condition, following each step in the order presented. Unfortunately copilot support is limited with a complex avionics system. Feel free to use this clist file as a template to customize the checklist as desired. Regards, Vance EDIT: The checklist has been updated with datarefs from the file pinned to the top of this forum. This means 77% of the check-box items have copilot support. If you downloaded the previous version, this checklist should make your flying even easier. Sometimes when I first open the CRJ not all copilot boxes would register (an asterisk next to them). If this happens to you simply open the aircraft again. A normal checklist will show an asterisk next to each box on page 5. clist.txt
