  1. Remove the two aftermarket plugins and try again, if it still crashes on load, post the log.txt again please. You could also try getting a fresh demo installation to see if that runs properly.
  2. Cool, thanks for that Airfighter. I see its in V10 only as well, i was working in V9 before. Hopefully the other maps will be given functionality at some point in the v10 run too.
  3. There are a couple of threads about these on the org, i wonder if anyone here can shed any light on how to use the following generic instrument elements: In the bitmaps\cockpit\generic folder there is; gen_map_nav.png, gen_map_tcas.png, gen_map_vnav.png. Has anyone managed to get a moving map or similar working with any of these elements? Tom, any chance you could have a poke around and see if they are redundant files, or if they have some use? Thanks.
  4. Slightly out of date photo, this was taken before my GTX670 upgrade;
  5. No probs, glad you got it sorted!
  6. Upload the pic here, or to one of those online image hosting places and post a link. To upload here use the 'More Reply Options' button, then 'Attach Files' verify the image is within any image size policies on this site before uploading. I'm not sure what they are off hand. Bear in mind that there is a scenery_packs.ini in the Custom Scenery folder that can be used to specify a load order too. you might have to edit that to make sure your scenery is shown on top.
  7. The EGCC airport layout in the default apt.dat is very accurate. I would recommend using that instead of trying to make another one. Bear in mind that the runway and taxiway data is stored in an apt.dat, and the building and object data is stored in a dsf file. So, if you want to remake/alter the buildings, you only need to alter the information in the dsf file. Airport buildings generally come from a Custom Scenery package, so have a look in your Custom Scenery folder for a scenery with Manchester Intl in it. If you remove the sceneries for Manchester from your X-Plane folder, you should be able to load X-Plane again and find nothing but runways and taxiways there. These will be from the default apt.dat. Its possible that you might have some X-Plane style building derived from OSM data being placed there if you load the sim without any Custom Scenery. Without screenshots its hard to know what you are seeing. If after removing all custom scenery for Manchester from your X-Plane folder you still have buildings there, try making an exclusion zone in WED or Overlay editor to exclude objects from that area. There are lots of useful posts about the use of exclusion zones floating around online, but let us know if you need some more help, and try to post a few screenshots to show us what you are seeing.
  8. Are there two .dsf files in the exported scenery package/Earth Nav data folder?
  9. I would try running the updater on that backup copy. There are lots of missing files there that the updater should fix. As for the missing sound message, does it happen with all aircraft, or with a specific one? I'm not sure why you have all those failed plugin load messages. As far as i know, PPC architecture is not supported in V10, so maybe its that. Sorry i cant help more.
  10. Is that a power PC CPU Mac? That log file is showing all sorts of broken stuff. Can you post the log from the working (non backup) version too please?
  11. Yeah, the 180 wasn't good, but they write as if aircraft can't go around if something prevents them from landing!
  12. Its probably worth you contact Laminar Research directly with this one. http://www.x-plane.com/support/landing/ I'm unsure about Win 8 compatibility with X-plane. On the off chance, is X-Plane being allowed through your firewall? edit; Do what Cameron said, he beat me to it!
  13. Its not as bad as the Daily Mail would make out. Typical sensationalist reporting from them!
  14. Thanks from me too for the effort involved with getting the site back online. I was also wondering if some sort of malicious attack attack had taken place!
  15. Pretty sure it doesn't use a plugin, so it should have no problems other than general flight model differences between v9 and v10. 64bit will only prevent aircraft with a 32bit plugin from working properly, it shouldn't affect any aircraft that doesn't use a plugin at all.

    Harrier (2)

I got a fresh demo the other day and the Harrier is in - X-Plane 10 Demo\Aircraft\VTOL\Marines Sea Harrier. PM me an email address if you really cant find it.
  17. Re-Run the updater, that should download it a lot faster than someone could upload it, if distribution of those aircraft is even allowed.
  18. In the VTOL folder. Its nothing special though, imo....
  19. Please, no limits!
  20. Might be a plugin problem. Does the same thing happen on a clean and fresh demo installation?
  21. I believe V10 uses a different system, where by you can translate, or move, the view position with the < and > keys. Try using those instead.
  22. Cool, no probs,
  23. Yeah i know what you mean. Did deleting the object work, were you able to select the placeholder's?
  24. If you cant find them in OE, find out which object(s) they are in and delete those from the scenery folder, then they will be shown as a little white block with a no entry-sign in OE when you reload it. Select one of them, then use ctrl-shift-N (or whatever it is) to select all instances of that object.
  25. Same here, nothing downloaded, today or on the third when you first posted. Also, the last time files for 10.04b1 were updated on the server was the 26th Jan. As long as you are up to date now, that's all that matters.
