I have recently downloaded the Avroliner Project RJ85 freeware aircraft. At the bottom of the electronic attitude indicator are the letters in green type BARO IN DH SRC. I know IN is for the altimeter setting and DH for the selected decision height, but for the life of me I can't find a reference as to the meaning of the SRC acronym. I promise to kick myself and say D'uh when someone gives me the answer.

I haven't bought the CRJ yet, so I have no idea what information is contained in the POH, but here is a link that may provide useful to some. It is a 6 page file, but the Appendices give Take Off and Landing speeds for different aircraft weights. I haven't bought the Sundowner yet, so no manual to refer to.. I have been planning on purchasing either the Duchess or Sundowner, or maybe both. In looking at the Sundowner image gallery on the X Aviation site, all I could locate was the switch labelled AUTO PILOT beside the one for MAGIC HAND, and there appears to be no other A/P control switches. Therefore, my curiosity in wondering how it works in this aircraft, or even if there is one. Similarly, it seems the upcoming Carenado Piper Archer doesn't have an autopilot, and while I don't mind hand flying an aircraft, I would prefer to know for sure how that part of the Sundowner works before buying.

How is the autopilot in the Sundowner supposed to work? I can see the AP switch in the photo of the instrument panel. Is it just for heading only and you have to trim for altitude? The Sundowner pictures didn't show the typical autopilot with HDG/NAV/APP/ALT/VS control. Past forum posts late last summer seemed to indicate an update was going to be released. Has there been an update? Thanks.

Real question here. I am trying to understand the difference between Navigraph data and AIRAC data which is available at the X-Plane Airport and Navigation Data link on the official X-Plane Downloads page. My understanding is that whenever I update X-Plane to the most recent version, the airport and navigation data will be updated automatically as well, if the update did happen to include new airport/navigation data. On page 69 of the CRJ manual, it makes reference to the Navigraph database that is installed on the CRJ, and the ability to purchase newer Navigraph data as new updates eventually become available. What I am wondering though, is the option to buy newer Navigraph data for the FMS: 1) a nice thing to do once in a while, 2) a necessity to do to, or 3) will the initial Navigraph data that comes with the CRJ be all that I am ever going to need. I don't mind eventually getting a Navigraph account for purchasing updated data for the CRJ, but can I get along without it? The other thought I had, would there ever be a situation that the X-Plane AIRAC data could conflict with Navigraph data to cause problems? Or, is it a case that the CRJ uses Navigraph data solely for the FMS,and doesn't access any other X-Plane airport/nav data? Also, if initial version 1.0 of the CRJ is updated to a version 1.1 at some point in the future, would such an aircraft update then come with a newer Navigraph database as well? Thanks.

I posted this morning that I would be buying the CRJ as soon as it becomes available. Same goes for the Saab. A guy is pretty lucking when his hangar is about to have a new turboprop and a jet for exploring the world. ;D

I have an iMac i7, 2.8 GHz, 8 GB DDR3 Memory, with 512 MB ATI Radeon HD 4850. (purchased in Dec' 09). I run X Plane at nearly maxed out settings, and typically achieve 50+ FPS, but in severe weather over built up cities, will bog down to 19 FPS and fog. I am definitely, 100%, certifiable, committed, and not holding back in any way, on buying the CRJ when released. From what I've read I should see no difference when running the CRJ. I will definitely post my results for everyone on rendering settings and FPS issues, or lack thereof, when I get it going.

Is there a release date planned for V1.2 in the near future? I have read the DIY Update from Dec and the other various posts, and would prefer to purchase the Duchess when Version 1.2 becomes available. Thanks.
