  1. Santa came with my early xmas present - dden's Challenger 300. If I said it was good, I'd be lying - it's fabulous.
  2. The Daily Mail is probably the newspaper with the worst examples of English, spelling mistakes and grammar, with journalists who seem to have Primary/Middle school education (ages 6-12), but it's about the only UK paper which is free, concise in layout and updated several times a day.
  3. Hasn't been the best week for Q400s. One rarely reads about incidents involving the Q, then two in one week. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-2829801/Bird-strike-destroys-Flybe-plane-propeller-pilot-continues-fly-hour-destination-just-ONE-ENGINE.html
  4. Indian airline SpiceJet hits buffalo during take-off http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-29947409 Passenger Prabhakar Joshi said "If it had been seconds later, after the plane lifted off, it would have been a disaster for us" Gotta love them airborne buffalo lol
  5. ... but you always hope the guy who attached the wheel wasn't also responsible for attaching the joystick, or a wing. Mainly the joystick.
  6. Some of the stuff that's coming out in the media here in the UK is pretty damning; investigative journalist saying the program has been troubled by walkouts over an abject and systemic lack of safety, with corners being cut, and the prediction of eventual fatalities. Seems they've reached that stage. Aside from that, some own-goals from Branson coming out too. I would not be surprised if this is the end of the program, personally. To say that it is/was "space exploration" is stretching it a bit. It wasn't actually going into space, just the edge of it, and really at the end of the day it is just a jolly for the rich and famous - akin to the Concorde "London to Finland airspace and back" (to meet Santa).
  7. apart from water, and rain. x We already got pushback, and better water landings? I thought down and in/on was enough, what next - scores for artistic merit? That's me in the deficit zone, then.
  8. I can't wait to see the "way more stuff" he suggests. What more can possibly be added? Planes... check airports...check highways...check buildings...check chewy stuff in the air...check Anything I've missed?
  9. Wow, that middle pic's almost a photo. Had to do a double-take. Very nice.
  10. Ha! It's not Vista, it's XP with the Royale Noir (vista) desktop theme. Got fed up having to wear sunglasses to fend off the fluorescent XP theme!
  11. Open the Mi-8 with planemaker and add some objects (File/Standard/Misc Objects) - there are loads, like different weapons, nose cameras (that you can move around too), nightsun lights, different air intakes, droptanks, ferry tanks, floatation pods, armour plates, and also different fuselages. You can mix and match everything.
  12. Have you had a look at that helo in planemaker? Quite a few little goodies on it to add, switch around. No one else seems to have noticed yet.
  13. With that said, I do like the look of the update. The cockpit looks a bit more realistic now. Might have to invest in this. Assuming all of them had been updated, any suggestions to which to get? I can't tell the difference between them.
  14. Well, when someone asks if it's for xp9 and one trundles over to the org (because it is for sale there) and finds there's only a 10 version, then that's what I posted up. Don't shoot the messenger. *pulls arrow out of neck* Reason I looked at the org is the mention of this "lifetime membership" stuff for AB is a little confusing, like what version are you getting? Yes, at the mo you get an updated RJ100, but you could pay the lifetime membership for the RJ75 & 85 and get non-updated planes. That's why it was easier just to go to the org and see what's what. Maybe AB needs to let the org know what's available for what, seeing as they've got mistakes there. Worst case, he's losing sales if someone with 9.70 wants an RJ100, goes to the org and thinks there isn't one.
  15. Thanks. Maybe someone needs to update the org, because xp9 buyers might skip over it, thinking there is no 9 version of the RJ100.
  16. The article refers to the RJ100 and on the org it's listed as xp10 only. The RJ75 & RJ85 are listed as xp 9 & 10, but it doesn't look like they've got the update.
  17. Javier's Beechcraft T-34C Turbomentor in the correct colours of the Naval Air Training Command.
  18. No cheating. Doesn't count if the trailer's *suddenly* the size of a basketball court. Meh, I'm still trying to land the damn thing in the same State.
  19. Noooooo. Upgraded my graphics to 512 (whoopee doo) but only because I was foisted into it (card died). Still stuck with 9.70 until my numbers come up.....
  20. That's the 10 version. It's the 970 one which has gone.
  21. I could, but I guarantee that ship would have lots of little holes in it afterwards. And I'd advise staying below deck while I do it. Or better still, seek shelter on another boat.
  22. My faves - All of these were available in for 9.70 POV (as not everyone can/wants to go 10) but most are xp10 only now. Helis Nils's BK117 Dreamfoil's Jetranger Dreamfoil's R22 Planes 1. FlyJSim's Q400 2. Khamsin's B-17G (no longer available) (default acf in xp10?)
  23. Look at the angle on that disk! Tug driver had the good sense to get off in case you took his head off with the default 206 flappy rotors! C'mon, we wanna see you do that with the Dreamfoil 206. Should nail it by next summer
