  1. Thanks Guys! I have been working on this project for just under 3yrs so far. Takes allot of patience for sure . Rob
  2. Made this short video this morning using IXEG 737-300, XP11, and XEnviro in my 733 Sim. Any questions feel free to ask. Sure could use a co-pilot! https://youtu.be/vOdekHhpKSA
  3. You can find slip clutches on ebay, look for PolyClutch
  4. Compare the throttle handle's current position to the dataref desired position and determine if it is less or more and power motor in correct direction to null out the difference. Cool thing is, when AT is not active, the handle position always matches desired position so the motors dont try to run either direction. No on/off logic or anything needed. Works great.
  5. #1) Yes, its in the plugin. ArdSim is good but with IXEG you need more customization of code. #2) Know that feeling lol #3) I went one step farther, i flash the AT Arm led on disconnect as a reminder to switch off physical switch on mcp
  6. What hardware and plugin are you using? I am using Teensy and it's plugin, we are doing dataref reads every few milisecs and comparing and updating switch and annunciators Also as you know it's a mix of datarefs and commands. Rob
  7. I really should upload a video of how good the MCP works but that would give CPFlight to much business It only works good because my friend wrote a plugin that actually works unlike the cpflight supplied one.
  8. Not true, I have the MCP from CPFlight working perfectly with IXEG (custom plugin) and before that had a n older -200 AP working with it. It's all in the programming and yes, Gizmo is very touchy on inputs but Ben said he would work on that. It took me a long time to get my sim to work within the Gizmo and IXEG parameters but it is doable.
  9. I have AT automation working great in my sim, everything you need is already there now. You know the 'ghost' handles that show up on left side of screen? There is a dataref for those already and it's what I use. And do yourself a huge favor!!!!!! Put clutches on on your setup. Do not direct drive the levers without protective devices. Rob
  10. Ok, went to make the video tonight and then it hit me what I was doing wrong. If you want to manually set N1 you have to pull out the adj knob on the N1 gauge and set desired N1 and leave knob out. It worked perfect! To use FMC desired N1, Adj. knob must be pushed in and parameters entered into FMC via the CDU. Sorry for the confusion. RTRFM !! lol Rob
  11. No derate, Temps 15 to 23C Most of the time I don't even touch the FMC. I usually fly /A.
  12. It's not hardware related as I can manually push levers forward and get 100% rpm. I'll video and post tonight. Basically if I throttle up to 40%, stabilize, then hit TOGA, it only commands 82% N1. After T/O and above 1500ft, I engage either LVL Change or VNAV depending on flight, and immediately throttles move forward to 90- 91% as it should. Rob
  13. I'm in XP11
  14. I am having some N1 issues, When taking off I am only getting 82% N1 when i press TOGA. I tried manually adjusting to 91% on the N1 gauge, no joy. Does the same thing when using the FMC, only gives 82-83% when FMC says we should be at 90 to 91. So my question is, Is the N1 control logic implemented to where if say i'm in N1 hold, I can manually what N1 I want the autothrottle to maintain? Also when FMC is controlling autothrottle via VNAV, why doe sthe commanded N1 cursor not move? Thanks Rob
  15. Been there done that
  16. First TEST Flight went very well last night! Even the VS mode worked great!! Thanks Jorg!
  17. But what if you don't have an EHSI in your ixeg 733 ?? Rob
  18. Pitch is the most important and the one everyone struggles with .
  19. Will there be datarefs available for us crazy sim builders? Got a couple of VSI gauges with TCAS
  20. Who is interested in a plugin for the CPFlight 737 MCP EL to connect to the IXEG 733? It won't be free but it won't be much. Let me know.
  21. Sorry to pop your balloon but that yoke is not even close to being able to replicate the amount of movement a real yoke has. Look at how close the yoke is to box. Nothing but a glorified and shined up CH yoke. But to their credit, the add doesn't say travel like the real one. The real yoke has a massive amount of movement to it.
  22. Ben, I'll check the version of my DRE and report back. I hope its that simple. Rob
  23. I have that program, but with the latest Gizmo, the IXEG datarefs become invisible
  24. My son and I did a little flight tonight in the 733 Sim from KLAS to KSLC. 4 parts to the flight. Enjoy the video's of the awesome IXEG 733 using real parts. Part 2 is Takeoff Part 3 is Approach and Part 4 is the Landing https://youtu.be/Zpl7A_2PYp8
  25. Update, It's fixed! For some reason, my RTH settings changed, i reset them and instantly the displays became visible. I should have known to disable the plugins but when the combo has been working well you don't think to do that when you haven't changed anything. On a side note, the latest gizmo release does not allow IXEG datarefs to be displayed in the dataref viewer. I brought this up before and got no answer. Maybe you guys could ask and help me out. Thank you and sorry to waste your time. Maybe someone will learn from this besides me. Rob
