  1. Hi Jim I have done this hot-fix on the passenger variant, is that now applied to the other two variants, or do I have to do the fix to each individual variant? Excellent customer support as always from LES/X-Aviation.
  2. The Lego bricks concept is excellent and that is what has got me into doing these airports in the first place. What I find very frustrating is that to submit the airports for inclusion globally you can only use the X-Plane 10 library objects. Bearing in mind XP10 has been out 2 years now, is it not high time we had some more library objects, otherwise these global airports are going to have a rather bland same look about them. I like to use objects from the other excellent libraries out there(OpenSceneryX and Ru library etc), so therefore I can only upload to the file hosting sites. Yes people have been wanting default airport scenery, and all the airport scenery devs have tried to give people that before the global submission process started, now we are all being painted as the bad guys here. If the need and reason for these exclusion zones had been more prominently portrayed in the WED manual and elsewhere then maybe more people would have put them in.
  3. Hi Folks I too have uploaded a number of US and European airports and admit I am guilty for not putting the exclusion zones in. When I started doing the sceneries I read the WED manual in its entirety and didn't come across any section which said these exclusions had to be put in. There is obviously the explanation of the exclusion tool, but no mention that these should be put in as a matter of course to prevent the issue we are now seeing. I will try and add these and re-upload the files, but at the moment I just haven't got the time to do so. I think some of these people complaining really need to understand how long these airport scenery's take to produce, and that is before the actual creating of screenshots and uploading to the various libraries. Considering these are uploaded for people to enhance their simming experience to download for free, I think it's a bit fresh to start having a go at all the designers who haven't put the exclusion zones in. A more prominent description of the need for this would be sensible in the WED instructions.
  4. Hi Chris Very nice scenery, another for the state of Washington, fits in nicely with my efforts and those of others. Frame rates are very good for me, although I run non-HDR.

  7. I would just like to say a big thank you and well done to Leading Edge Simulations and X-Aviation for the release of the Saab 340A, a real 'game changer' in every way. Having taken time to read the excellent manuals/charts etc, the aircraft is a real masterpiece in so many ways. The flight model just 'feels right' and the systems are absolutely brilliantly simulated. Normally preferring GA aircraft I prefer to hand-fly as much as possible and this aircraft allows you to do just that if you wish. I have used the autopilot in all modes and they are all magnificently replicated. The sounds are the best I have heard on any model for X-Plane. As I touched on above, the included manuals and charts are wonderfully well done, and this coupled with the excellent support on this website will mean any problems/questions are always quickly solved. I am really looking forward to the new version with its performance enhancements, although I might add it runs well enough as it is. I think it's about time I had another flight!! Cheers Simon
  8. Hi Tom This is excellent to hear, looking forward to the release. Simon

  12. Take a look at the Beta - X-Plane Wiki http://wiki.x-plane.com/beta X-Plane 10.20 Release Candidate 3 (This version was accepted as the 'official' 10.20!) This patch fixes the hole in the fuselage of the Kingair, and adjusts the taxi light on the Baron. No changes to the code. Regards Simon
  13. Thanks for that Goran.
  14. I really can't understand what is going on here with the Duchess. I have participated in this thread stating that I am seeing the same as others, flying hands-on or AP. You say a new flight model was submitted to Cameron, but I have had no notification so far of any update, the same as previous posters are saying. I just assuemed it was a case of waiting for the 64 bit XP to go final and it would be released then. Sad to say I haven't even bothered flying the Duchess since November, it was previously my 'go-to' aircraft. Hopefully all will be sorted out eventually. Simon
  15. Many thanks for this Chris.

  17. Hi All I was having a look through my Log.txt file to check for errors in some scenery I have been doing and noticed something strange. I have HDR on with 2xSSAA+FXAA and everything in the nVidia control panel is 'Application controlled' regarding anti-aliasing settings. My Log.txt however has the following line in it:- Note: X-Plane preferences are set to enable FSAA, but it is disabled by the driver control panel. If I am allowing everything to be application controlled why is it saying this? I hope somebody can throw some light on this? Regards Simon
  18. Hi 3TB Your scenery is looking very good. I had a similar issue with the ILS antenna and localiser ariel in a scenery I was working on. As usual ChrisK came to the rescue, see the following post:- http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/topic/3408-moving-ils-ariels-in-wed/ Regards Simon

  20. Sorry Chris, I didn't say, they were all OpenSceneryX. I have solved it because it looked like an access permissions issue with the files. I deleted my OSX folder and reinstalled it, and all works well now. Thanks for taking the time to try and help. Simon
  21. Hi all Had a bit of a strange thing happen. I have just done a clean install of Windows 8 Pro having backed everything up etc. etc. All is up and running nicely including my two X-plane installations. I have just been trying to continue the airport scenery I am currently working on and all the .pol files I put down for taxiway marking(runway entries etc) are not showing up. The square boxes are all there but not the characters inside. I have started up XP10 and they are not showing up here either. I have also checked my other scenery projects and they are all the same. I wondered if anyone would be able to shed some light on this. It is also the same if I try and draw any new .pol files. I do apologise up front if this is something trivial. Regards Simon
  22. If it helps, my joystick button assigned to toggling the autopliot servos also doesn't work in the Jetstream since the update. I have to do it manually using the mouse. Simon
  23. Javier That is all fine by me, I was only bringing up the aileron trim issue as it goes off the scale and it might be something you wanted to correct in a future update. I absolutely applaud this approach to your creations for X-Plane, I much prefer to actually fly the aircraft than have the autopilot do everything for me. The fact that I have purchased the Jetstream, CRJ and Mentor says enough about the quality of your aircraft, the excellent support you offer to customers just makes the experience even better. I am sure when I get used to the little quirks of the Jetstream I will really enjoy flying it. Keep up all the good work and have a great Christmas. Simon
  24. I assume that you mean you trim far to the left as the props are CCW? I usually have the TTL comps on. I will try flight models per frame to 2 and see what I think. On the whole though a very nice add on and I look forward to the update in due course. Again I have to applaud the usual excellent support from you and Cameron. Many thanks Simon
  25. Hi Javier You say in the manual to set the aileron trim to 2 dots left which I am doing, however the aircraft is still lowering the right wing by quite a way. I apply more left aileron trim and by the time I have trimmed for wings level the aileron trim tab is showing way off the scale on the left side. I know this is something X-Plane tends to over-do, but should I be using some rudder trim as well once airborne to counter some of this, as seems to be the general advice with GA aircraft? Regards Simon
