I couldn't agree more. I prefer the Classic series because it has less automation and therefore much more to keep us occupied.

Hello All Re-installed the IXEG a couple of days ago having not used it for a while. This was after watching Jan's great you-tube videos recently show-casing the improvements the team has made. I had been getting my 737 fix from another free add-on(you know what one I mean!). I must say I am very pleased I did so, with the improvements in the last few updates, it was an absolute joy to fly. You really get that feeling of actually flying from this creation, more so than most add-ons, in fact the only ones I get this from are the other X-Aviation aircraft I own. It is good to see that Tom is back with the rest of the team pushing this aircraft even further and I look forward to enjoying just how far they can take it. Keep it going team, your continued endeavour is very much appreciated. Cheers Simon

Are you new to X-Plane? I have used it since the early days of X-Plane 9, and Laminar are always striving to improve the sim, sometimes this breaks payware aircraft. Rest assured, in my experience, these Devs talk to Laminar and things will get sorted out so you can use these add-ons. Normally things get sorted fairly quickly and add-ons are usable again. I know it is frustrating when you have spent your money on something, but be patient it will be sorted. I have bought many products from X-Aviation, never had a problem with them, always Devs available first-hand to deal with any problems/questions. That is the thing I find really great with X-Plane, you are able to speak to the developers and Laminar Research one-to-one, and they are always more than willing to help you out. I am in a similar position to yourself, only bought the TBM last week, but I will wait patiently, knowing that this will be fixed.

Thanks Goran.

I tried again and all seems good now. Do you have any advice for best settings on the response curve for yaw. Finding it very difficult keep the aircraft on the runway, on both take-off and landing?
-
Hi Devs I bought the TBM 900 this week, and on the whole, mightily impressed. One problem I have come across is when selecting the autorouter charts in Europe, the selection box comes up but then just freezes. I am then not able to select anything(image below). I am on 11.30(not 11.31). Just wondered if this was a known problem? Thanks.

You're welcome.

Pull the throttles back into the beta range.

No 'fan boy' here, just giving a bit of support to the Devs when ignorant people post their garbage, nothing more, nothing less.

To all you great developers on this site. Please just carry on the way you are and always have done. I think you all do an amazing job with your creations, and your support of those who buy them. I think it is brilliant the way most developers for X-Plane add-ons personally communicate with their customers, both when they have problems or even suggestions/ideas. Just fly and enjoy X-Plane 11 in the meantime. The updates to these products will be ready when they are ready. Lets not forget the customers are getting the best of both worlds from X-Aviation's developers, an add-on that is initially made compatible for use in XP11, and then an improved upgrade taking advantage of more of the XP11 features, which in most cases for existing customers will be available for a reduced price. Happy days all round!

Many thanks for the update Jim.

Hi Jim I am still getting the Crs2 manipulator error. Updated 1.4.1 earlier today and just tested. Simon GizmoLog.txt Log.txt

Many thanks for the support with these issues. As you can obviously tell from logs, I am using the the Saab in XP10, I apologise for not making this clear in original post. Simon

Hi mmerelles Yes I had forgotten to do that, I apologise, radio is fine now. Have just confirmed though, that manipulating the course for NAV2 breaks the mouse manipulation, just tried again and same result. Simon

Hi Goran I have just been setting up the Saab for a flight and have had a couple of problems. 1. the Hydraulic pump seems to sound all the time, where as in previous versions it was just when the steering was used, gear up etc. Is this normal? Not a massive problem if it is, as I just turned it right down. 2. I had used the mouse for manipulating various things, I then tried to change the course on NAV2 and it failed and wouldn't work on anything after this? 3. I tune the COM radios and can't get the ATIS. I will attach the logs below. Your help is much appreciated. Simon Log.txt GizmoLog.txt

I always have this option enabled in the nVidia control panel because the sim runs so smooth. Now all of a sudden the frame rate is not at 30 but between 45-60 fps and the micro stutters are back, although the option is still selected in the nVidia control panel. Anyone help me with why this is happening and how to rectify it? Thanks Simon

N1 Limit page FMC
sichars1968 replied to sichars1968's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
Hi Jan I tried what you said regarding putting hardware throttle all the way forward, and to start with there was no difference. I then applied the latest hot-fix and thought I would try to make a video as you suggested and lo and behold the throttle worked as it should, it went to about 85% and then advanced further to 92% when thrust locked appeared. I hope this is now correct. The AVI was a terrible resolution so you was no use anyhow. Simon -

Hi Jan I will try this tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Thank you for coming back to me so promptly on this, very much appreciated. Simon -
N1 Limit page FMC
sichars1968 replied to sichars1968's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
Hi Jan Just did a quick flight prep, KRNO-KTVL and on the N1 page was showing approx 95% N1 for full power takeoff. However upon selecting TOGA the throttles advanced to 85% N1 and barely able to get airborne. Could this be to do with packs? Should these be off to give more engine power? Here are my logs for your info. Simon GizmoLog.txt Log.txt -
Lost about TOGA and power output
sichars1968 replied to alexcolka's topic in Flight Procedures and Techniques
Hi Alex Yes I am the same as you regarding the video. Later I will watch the tutorial video 2 out KTUS to see how Jan sets up the N1 page. I may then just go through and take screenshots of my selections on my next flight. I think the video was to show Vespa about derated takeoffs. One thing I was wondering is if packs should be off to give full power to the engines, but can't find this in any checklists. I'm sure we'll get there in the end. Simon -
Lost about TOGA and power output
sichars1968 replied to alexcolka's topic in Flight Procedures and Techniques
Hi Alex I am having similar problems(I have posted in the systems forum). I am currently taking off at altitude and seeing this, don't know if there is something I'm not inputting. I will have another look later this evening. Thought it strange someone else is having the same problem. Simon -
N1 Limit page FMC
sichars1968 replied to sichars1968's topic in 737-300 Aircraft Systems and Operation
Hi Jan I will try tomorrow. I haven't been using the full FMC capabilities for doing the route etc, as I've been having problems, as per my post about Gizmo soft crashes. Could this be the reason why, I am obviously inputting weights etc, does it take the position info from the POS page or when you input a full route(if that makes sense!)? Thanks Simon -
The values for N1 on the N1 limit page, are the values assumed at sea level? I have done a couple of take offs from Las Vegas(2100' elev) and Reno(4110' elev) and the aircraft is barely able to lift off. This is at quite low weights also. The N1 value on TOGA is in mid 80's so I would assume these values are at sea level? Should the v-speeds not be increased as a consequence of this? Any help with this would be much appreciated. Simon

A big thank you to the developers, John and Frank, and Cameron at X-Aviation for providing V2 for free to existing customers. This excellent continued customer service/support and knowing that the products purchased on X-Aviation are often improved for no extra cost, only gives the customer confidence in your products as we go forward. I really do highly recommend X-Aviation as the number one place to purchase add-ons for X-Plane.
