I'm by no means a professional pilot- I've barely started training, if that. But if I was in your situation, I'd go with the 152. My belief is that you must learn the old before you learn the new. As Dhruv said, the 152 will teach you many lessons you will use later. I know how tempting it is to choose the DA 20 (I looked at the pics- wow) but I think you'd regret it later. Best of luck with school, and feel grateful you have such a great place to train right out your door!

I've used a Saitek Aviator for just about.. oh, a year now. At first it feels light and flimsy, but it has held up well through the time I've used it, providing you treat it well. The button layout is likely different than anything you've ever used, so you may want to take a good look at images of the 'stick before you buy.

Well, I've been holding back on upgrading to Leopard due to my hate for it's interface... but after using it a bit, I'm feeling like I may be ready to move up. My question is, (and I know it's been a while for many of you) how was X-plane affected when you switched? Did the framerate drop or rise? Computer specs: 1st/2nd gen MacBook 2 Ghz Intel Core Duo processor 2 GB RAM Intel GMA 950, 64 MB VRAM Old and slow, but it works. I'm just worried that upgrading to Leopard may push my framerates from 25-30 to under 20. Early thanks to all...
