As long as I don't have new videos of Santorin, I will post here about the further development. Meanwhile I'm back from Santorini and have made some progress ...

Sorry, no video this time (I hope this is ok), but a progress report ... Although I am currently on vacation (guess where ..... Santorini), I couldn't resist and started with the terminal building. Below you see the work of approx. 4 hours. The hard (actually, time consuming) part, namely texturing, is still to come. But ... I will do this when coming home.

I am still working on further improvements for Madeira airport, but the mesh enhancements aren’t easy and kind of laborious. Thus, as a “loosening-up exercise” I started to work on a new scenery. Below some impressions. The one who can tell me where it is, will get it for free. You may wonder why I took the Seamax for exploring the scenery. Well … there is a lot of water around, so it seems to be an obvious choice. True – but there are other seaplanes, too. But the actual reason is as following: last year I was on this island for a short vacation, and while waiting for the return flight, there was a small plane approaching the airport. The closer it came …

During my work on some trains for X-Plane, I discovered this cool new feature: I assume that, due to the great success of FSX, X-Plane tried to copy the award winning flying on rails concept. Finally, XP10 is a dignified successor for FSX .

Although it is not directly related to PMDG and X-Plane (but the MD-11) - I can second both above excerpts. Why? Meanwhile I was twice in a full flight sim, the first time it was the Lufthansa MD-11 at Frankfurt EDDF. Usually there are 3 people, you have one hour briefing, one hour flying and around 30 mins debriefing. With the MD-11 (unfortunately ) I was sole, so I had the "pain" of flying the whole hour myself ... Most people want to fly (only) Boeing and/or Airbus, that's also obvious, when reading the announcement for a new plane of these manufacturers in the flight sim forums. Is it the herd instinct? Just my 2 cents, as this is a discussion forum.

Some more impressions of the groundtraffic at LPMA for the next release. It is only the traffic for one plane - traffic for more planes still to come.

I always thought that my landings were (mostly) quite good, until I installed that plugin. I really can recommend it, it led me to try harder and now my landings are (usually) really good .

Do you have or use the landing speed plugin? It probably would say "Anyone survived?" My first two attempts were something like this, so I tried a third time (still not very good - reverser too late).

The approach with the Caravan was easier than it seemed from the real life video, so I tried the next challenge. In the first two attempts to land on rwy 14 I failed, in the third I engaged the reverser a bit too late due to nervousness . Still, I could stop, before the airfield was over ....

With the fact that it wasn't the TNCM pack, I also think that it is the missing FF Library. It was mentioned in the readme, that you need this one. By the way, did you read the readme, because there is mentioned that you should download also the Objects Pack and additionally the mandatory orthophoto scenery (ca. 2 GB - it contains the edited mesh). By the way, if you don't want to download the ortho scenery due to its large size: I am currently working on a version of the airport which already contains the mesh - see screenshots below. Are you sure that it is Madeira? The only references related to Madeira are the order in the Custom Scenery folder. 0 Custom Scenery/Madeira_1_LPMA/ 3 Custom Scenery/Madeira_2_OBJ/ 4 Custom Scenery/Madeira_3_TEX/ But what seems more to be responsible is e.g. the following: 2:42:41.428 I/SCN: Failed to find resource '64.dds' (parent = 'Custom Scenery/Maarten_TNCM Princess Juliana Intl & TFFJ St Barthelemy/objects/' at 'Custom Scenery/Maarten_TNCM Princess Juliana Intl & TFFJ St Barthelemy/objects/64.png' Try to (temporarily) remove the Maarten_TNCM Princess Juliana Intl & TFFJ St Barthelemy scenery and see if it helps.

Could you please post the log.txt from your X-Plane root folder?
