  1. UH-60, if I remove clouds in the Weather settings, these issues don't appear. I've moved scenery folders too. Does nothing to the way the sim looks.
  2. I've got an "old" GPU. GTX 275. They don't issue updates for it very often, so yes, I've got the latest driver. I tried re-installing it too with no changes. I'm running 9.69
  3. I just did a complete re-install. Took a backup of 3rd party planes and scenery, deleted all files in the X-Plane folder, and installed. No change.
  4. After further investigation, it looks like it's the shadow of the clouds. I've tried with the regular clouds and the ones I install with Real Environment Extreme. No change. The shadows shows in a strange pattern like above. Weird thing is, there's no problems in any other games, nor OpenGL apps or games.
  5. I loaded X-Plane. What do I see? Strange terrain. So I zoomed out and found this. Now where does this come from? I tried removing the XSquawk plugin I installed recently. No luck. I tried removing all plugins. Nope, no change. Any clues? Worst case scenario: I re-install everything.. .
  6. I've got this Garmin 530 GPS and I'm very satisfied. I also suggest you check out AirTrack for your favorite iDevice. It's nothing but lovely and makes flying a blast.
  7. ENZV to ENTO. About 50 minutes flight. Leaving ENZV. Sola, Stavanger.
  8. You guys are nuts! Made a long trip now. 1h 40min. Probably the longest I've ever flown. Ever. Once again, AirTrack saves the day. So, this trip went from ENBO to ENZV, flying along the west coast of Norway. I nailed the way I shall land too I think. Fly by FMC until I reach the ILS, let the ILS bring the plane down nicely, and aligned to runway - then at about "500" I disengage autopilot and take it down by hand. I had about 3-5 degrees nose up at touch down. Slow descend down to 4000 Only a little more until I disengage autopilot now Yeah!
  9. Makes me wonder if it's possible to contact the guy and ask to join them on a couple of flights and make a proper video. I have plenty of high-end equipment at my disposal, and I work with film and video on a daily basis. I'm doing it! I'm giving him a message. Cross your fingers everyone!
  10. Only gone through the place with car on my way to Bodø, my mother's home town. It was wonderful to see it from the air.
  11. I just found a bunch of videos with the Dash 8, flown in the colors of Widerøe, in Norway. This really shows why Dash 8 is such an important plane for the smaller airports in this country. http://www.youtube.com/user/WideroePilot
  12. PSS_nativ? What's that? When I updated from Navigraph I have to buy a special token for the AirTrack app, so I didn't really download a file - I got kind of a serial number I put in a "Airac update" field and it installed the new Airac for me.

    Dash 8 Q400

Nice scenery, the little I see of it. What is it? The video struck me as a commercial, made me wanna buy it - again! Good job
  14. OK, this is very unlike me. I've spent hundreds of dollars on simulators and add-ons, but I've never really been into flying by charts, until now. The Dash has changed me somehow. I've downloaded charts for any norwegian airport I could find on Navigraph, all just for €10! Thrilled and happy, I can't sit still. I just need to.. get up.. in the air..
  15. Wow this looks good! Keep it up.
  16. Release it already!
  17. Landing of my last flight. Still enjoying ILS autopilot landings.
  18. Nova, you can change livery, but I figured it would be stupid to do so when I already had covered 80% of the trip. In regards of saving the replay and maybe make another video.. Yup, that's the iPad. The prop disc is in the sim now, like Kesomir pointed out how to do in some other thread.
  19. I'm on descend to ENBN. Forgot to change livery before take-off. I'm gonna make Widerøe the default livery whenever it's done. Can't wait for that! This is real weather by the way. It's absolutely smashing today. I should be outside though.. And I just learned something new. Adjusting the vertical speed has a visual gadget on the MFD. NICE!! Now I'm getting better at planning descend. Great.. great.. great.. That's been my nemesis for ages.
  20. There haven't been any talk about animation yet. I'll bring it up, but that might be another export plugin for LightWave Layout then since you can't animate in Modeler.
  21. The first test. Model a very simple house / hangar, texture it with both day and night textures and export for X-Plane. Everything from modeling to texturing to baking the textures was done with LightWave.
  22. I got in touch with a guy on the NewTek forums who seems very interested in making a plugin for LightWave in order to export models directly from Modeler to the X-Plane .obj format. I'm testing the plugin today, and so far so good. Here's the procedure. 1. Model 2. Make all polygons quads or triangles 3. Make UV map (in Modeler or other tools like 3D Coat) 4. Texture it (Paint in 3D Coat or Photoshop, or apply textures to different surfaces and bake with LightWave Layout) 5. Copy the geometry and UV to a new object and give the object ONE surface 6. Apply the texture to the model using UV map 7. Save the model and hit the XPlaneConverter button. TADAA! You now have a .obj with the UV map attached, and it's ready for you to make a TEXTURE_LIT too. All you need to do is save the night texture with the same name as the day texture and add _lit to the file name. Things are looking bright for future development.
  23. Haha Nova, how did you know? That was exactly what I put in FOV Loader. I'll bring the MU-2 to life whenever I can get a new activation code. Recently changed M/B, CPU and RAM. Wonder when they're gonna make that automated solution..
  24. Flying right now from ENGM to ENZV. I have 70nm to go.
  25. AirTrack on iPad and iPhone does a great job too. It uses the same data as X-Plane, or you can update with your own from Navigraph or whatever it's called.
