  1. Thank you for all your hard work Andras! I must say, when I do come to the edge of a PhotoTile, the colors in my area match very closely to your work. Very nice! Just for further clarification, Does SimHeaven use the same exact tree placement files as you work? If I generate an exclude, will it exclude your, Simheavens, and the default trees? Is there a way to edit the Elevation mesh in X-Plane? -Woog
  2. Even just the basic cities like The other sim has would be fine with me.......
  3. Let me tell you why: I fly outside the SimHeaven coverage area. In America we don't have whole country coverage like you get in Europe. I can fly to the edge of the photoreal in ten minutes in a Helicopter. Also our OSM library is non-existent compared to Europe........If I want more accurate terrain outside of the 1x1 tile, I need to have the coverage that ALpilot offers with his entire continent mesh and landclass re-write. -Woog
  4. Fumbling around with Sketchup now. Trying to convert more Seattle buildings to usable files for X-Plane. I have the Pluggin sketchup2Xplane, not sure if I put it in the right folder.......Advice welcome! -Woog
  5. What would be great, is if the scenery could be made to work in X-plane.
  6. So buildings used in the above Seattle scenery are a sample pulled from Trimble/Google Warehouse. This is good to know the source as the scenery is not complete, and hasn't been worked on in a while. Sounds like it could be a fun project.
  7. Hey Andy, have you been able to remove the trees through the central Kent/Auburn valley, In relation the to SimHeaven scenery? I want to build this area up with warehouses, and fix Auburn Municipal....
  8. This should be a pretty simple one. I am new to X-Plane 10, and the cities suck, as we all know. Do any of you know, or have heard rumors of any products coming to market (Ie DRZEWIECKI DESIGN, or LimeSim etc.) to rectify this situation? Another fleeting thought I had was......Would it be possible to convert the Seattle map from Take on Helicopters, for use in X-Plane? -Woog
  9. Thank you Mat. The texture coloring of the Default/HD2 mesh scenery is really close to the shade used on the PhotoScenery of Seattle. There is a discernible line, but it appears as more of a resolution shift, than a distinct color change. If I can figure out how to rearrange errant trees, and place some warehouses and such, I would like to publish a more accurate version of my local Puget Sound area. Something based off of the SimHeaven tile. Maybe even add my house as a "First" 3d building project. I live near a really odd shaped lake, (Tapps) and have a few Air Ranch type neighborhoods near by me, at the base of Mt Rainier (30 miles E SE). The Pac NW, what a great place to fly and live!
  10. Thanks Cameron, Would I be correct in thinking that I would need replace the .dsf files located in the Earth nav data folder of the Photoscenery itself then to accomplish this? With that said, Al Pilot HD mesh covers entire regions, where as the SimHeaven is only 1x1 tiles. I should still probably leave the HD mesh loaded below my Photo stuff for a seamless transition to non photoreal coverage areas? The color blending is actually really nice for the Seattle Area. Of Course I will purchase WA State when you guys get around to updating it to the "Enhanced level" of color saturation and detail. All the work I am trying to accomplish with freeware, will be done by you guys already...... -Woog
  11. It does help thank you. What if it is non airport scenery? Just pick the nearest airport to the offending objects?
  12. Hello Friends, I have recently added Al Pilot HD2 mesh and Simhaven ZL17 Photoreal scenery for the Seattle area. There are a few non-airport areas (warehouses and farm fields) near my home that have trees where there shouldn't be. What program would I use to delete these trees? Would it be some sort of exclusion zone type arrangement? -Woog
  13. Hello Cameron, that clears things up quite a bit. I am actually very excited about XpX! Most all of my irritations from FSX are a non-issue in X-Plane. It runs smoother, it flies better, the scenery is not repeating tiles with dead end roads everywhere. It makes me a better pilot in general, when aircraft handle like they should. NorCal will be a great purchase, SoCal will be even better! ;-) Is your whole team located in Wa State, or are you guys all over the planet like most developers? I know great things are coming from you guys. I can't wait to explore your world! -Woog
  14. Yeah Cameron, you lost me. As far as I know, the autogen I see, is the stock X-plane autogen. It all appears to be standard lego brick stuff. -Woog
  15. Sorry About the blue bars, no significance, just couldn't get rid of it...... -Woog
