  1. I hope you haven't gave up on this scenery... I have a route planned for it from Tel Aviv with the IXEG
  2. BTW , with this new approach , will we still need to install libraries like R2_LIBRARY etc...? The thing that I don't like about those libraries , is that there are too much of them. I really can't wait for this development t be completed , this will finally give every region it's uniqness. As for performance , could you please post some shots from big cities (such as prague , munich...) with the FPS counter visible , also knowing your settings would be helpful.
  3. Impressive! If I may suggest a thing in term of ground texture.. Default ground textures are actually really nice (really , open then in photoshop IMO they are great) , but what I don't like is how they are placed. HD MESH makes it much better , however regions like Germany should have much more green textures. So I think you can use default art work but with your own placing.
  4. That was the plan , to build a plane from 0 , so that the'll learn the platform , and how to develop for 3 simulators while taking advantage of each benifits. After DC6 they will evaluate the market and choose what plane of their fleet they should convert to XP first (737NG / 777 or even 747V2 if it's released till then). As RSR said it's not a matter of "if they'll convert or not" , it's a matter of what first.
  5. I saw that someday you posted at VATIL , we are all there , most of the people there use FSX , some P3D and some Xplane. it's a small community , there are 6-7 Xplane pilots there. The thing is that you need to be a valid member there (you need to change your vatsim settings so that you belong to VATIL) , in order to see the forums that you can't see (many of the topics there are Xplane related)

A few years ago I used to fly the PMDG 737 in FSX , but according to IXEG videos I can say that IXEG has better immersion in it; all the "small" things , like the way that the cockpit lights fade in and out gradually , and not suddenly , and many more things like this which makes the IXEG superior , and that's just when watching the videos many times to notice every little part. But that's doesn't mean that IXEG as developers are better than PMDG (or vice versa...) , let's not forget that PMDG are working with dated 32bit platform. However , if you compare IXEG733 VS PMDG737 (again , even though the first isn't released , but the videos they posted shows almost everything you need to know to compare) , IMO IXEG is more impressive in every aspect. To actually compare IXEG VS PMDG as developers , we'll need to see what level can PMDG achieve in Xplane , but honestly , I just don't care.... both are great , both will give Xplane great airliners in the near and far future. A few months ago , all the FSX guys said there is no PMDG quality in Xplane , now we have 3 like those (including LES IMO) , while PMDG are "the true path" in the FSX/P3D world.

FYI the NOAA plugin v2rc1 is released , and I really don't understand all the code things ,nevertheless as I understood at the thread over the the .org , this plugin has the ability too give SMP the data that Xplane can't , for example the clouds in the far horizon. The new version of this plugin is awesome , accurate weather , smooth , and I really think that combined with SMP can give us the ideal solution.

  12. Ohhh do you have the same problem that Xplane shows objects in wrong place? i thought it's just me as I asked in some forums and nobody suffered from it. Did you file a bug report (if not i'll do that , if yes no reason to file a report on the same bug)?
  13. I know what SMP is... however as I know it can't place clouds in an accurate position and far to the horizon , so I wonder how the IXEG's weather radar will perform using SMP + default weather engine/EFASS UltraWX or any any other engine..

  16. Before anything I want to say that I am very happy with SMP , keep up the great work guys! Here are some suggestion that would be cool , maybe you "noted" some before , so excuse me if so - A feature that makes clouds above a big city with a bit orange light , I saw that a plugin called xEnviro does this , very cool! - A fade out effect when flying through clouds , which will enhance the visual impression when flying inside clouds - I know that it's mainly due to SDK limitations , but more accurate weather representation would be great. You proved with the cloud shadows that although it was said that it's impossible , you managed to do this! - A variation of more 3d "flat" clouds , right now the clouds are too "impressive" in their shape IMO , a simpler cloud type mixed with those impressive towered clouds would be awesome I really hope that all of those would be implemented in next versions , can't wait!!

  18. Entering and flying inside a cloud with SMP feels really great , however when escaping it looks sort of 3 walls that you break... can't really elaborate more it's a feeling thing. With the effect above the clouds make a nice effect when escaping , like they are move to the sides and makes the effect more smooth. I believe JohnMaxx got it as he said This would be great when flying the new IFR conditions .

Hello, In creating a scenery I noticed 2 things: 1) when compressing png to dds I get some "squares" on each photreal tile , I understand that it's due a limitation of DDS colors compraing to PNG , however is there any way that I could "smooth" it a bit? 2) When creating custom lights they are also turned ON at day mode , how can I make them behave like the default light? (turned off at day and turned on at night) thanks!

FYI a new photoreal for the middle part of the country will be uploaded soon , and the current RealLandIsrael project will be down for now , as we are planning to re-release the project in different way , also with some updates. The same will happen with Ben Gurion when we will get closer to release.
