  1. Not so great... They are nasty with the 11kHz frequency range with some aliasing and use the default sound architecture. (as we all know X-Plane can playback 44.1kHz or higher sampling rate files) regards arti
  2. Hi Christoffer! Good, welcome to our sound hell. BTW We need some competition in the X-Plane world I think Laminar should really start thinking about upgrading their ARCHAIC sound "architecture" and no one sound plugin is really up to the task. I'm sure sonner (hope so) or later the audience will force it, because the real aviators are listening to the sounds regards arti
  3. 1. Saab 340 2. ATR 72 3. EMB 120 4. 737 classic 5. XP 10.2 with sound architecture
  4. Hi James, You can use 32 or 44.1KHz or other sampling rate WAV mono or stereo sound files. Please forget about the 8 bit ancient format. Post your ACF name and name of the engine sounds components please... I think the naming is wrong. You can post on the new Sound Development forum http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/forum/129-sound-development/ regards arti
  5. Fantastic work guys!!!
  6. One word. Perfect!!!
  7. Unfortunately 2GB per GPU seems to be a barrier for consumer market actually (also X-Plane is still 32bit app). I think it would be good idea to separate the 2GB cards and add 4GB (for one GPU) on the survey because the 2GB cards are quite popular nowadays (and very helpful in 1GPU multimonitor X-Plane setups).
  8. Greater than 2GB? Do you mean workstation $>3k cards? Ok consumer ATI 6990 have 4GB total but it's just typical 2GB per processor... it's a little misleading because the X-Plane can't use the multiple GPUs.
  9. I'm also waiting for this great airplane from the experienced Hungarian team!
  10. download the new vatsim plugin...
  11. I think the joystick window has very incomplete set of features. You can't reduce the joystick range, draw curves freehand. It's so important to tune your hardware to the simulator. I think such a adjustments should be aircraft based.

  13. Congratulations... Great we need those buildings a lot! Flat overlays are so boring... regards arti
  14. Hi karingka, I'm using Macs but I have my big system on the PC i7 OC to 4.2GHz. ATI 5870 Eyefinity 5xHD vertical monitors, 12GB RAM, 256GB flash drive. My resolution (with bezel correction) is huge 11Mpix and I'm very happy with my frame rate... 30-60fps. If you're using extreme resolution and sceneries like Reno, Oahu - 1.5GB od VRAM is very limiting factor IMO. I can easily break the 2GB barrier on my system... GPU speed it's not a limiting factor for X-Plane with hiend cards (when I look at the clouds I can easily go up to 200fps). Also we need to wait for the 64bit version of the X-Plane... regards arti
  15. Hi PhM, Actually I'm using the DreamEngine architecture for my sound projects. How is your sound architcture? Thanks for the link. The processing tools seems to be quite simple but it could be great to have a new more flexible sound architecture so we can fine tune for our needs. We have a new sound development board on the forum so it could be easier to discuss the new ideas. Regards arti
  16. What's the 3D sound?

  19. Thank you Steven! The Beech Bonanza & Baron projects are on my fleet. I'll release them in summer because of high demand... My blog is just for showing the actual progress and my new ideas. I hate marketing but someone has to do it. Please subscribe to the blog RSS to stay up to date with announcements. Best regards arti
  20. Thank you guys! These sound effects are designed to be the best of any simulator. BTW the internal sounds are still in the works. Best regards arti
  21. Here is the next unique ' Tru ' project: TruRain If you're not completely satisfied with the X-Plane sounds - check this out: https://sound4xplane.wordpress.com/2011/06/19/trurain-for-x-plane-sneak-preview-part-1/ https://sound4xplane.wordpress.com/2011/06/19/truwind-for-x-plane-sneak-preview-part-2-2/ regards arti
  22. It would be better to understand how hopeless is the default 'sound architecure' actually. Believe me I have many wishes... but we didn't get even the basic modern functionality.
  23. The sounds will be universal but the 'Tru' system is started actually with the ACF. Of course it's audio only no change in the X-Plane weather model. The next Tru components will be TruRain, TruHail. Unfortunately TruSnow is not planned;) Best regards arti
  24. Thank you Florian, it's just as smooth&natural as I would like to hear/feel in high quality simulation! I would suggest you to stay updated via RSS on my blog with more information about the release time. Actually the TruWind is linked to the airplane (in this case great An-24) but can be moved to other ACF. I need to model the internal wind now. Best regards arti
  25. Here is the first sign of the unique ' Tru ' project. If you're not completely satisfied with the X-Plane sounds - check this out: https://sound4xplane.wordpress.com/2011/06/17/truwind-for-x-plane-sneak-preview-part-1/ https://sound4xplane.wordpress.com/2011/06/17/truwind-for-x-plane-sneak-preview-part-2/ regards arti
