Totally Chris, I couldn't agree more, 3rd party development drives innovation within X-Plane......That is what I like about the platform. Well I got the info out there and now it is time to finish this product.... Here is another one at dusk showing how normal maps help with shadows. The new normals are more subtle but have more of an impact then you may realize.... And for Tom, I have cut down the color saturation in the glacier textures and cut down the intensity of the normal maps. The textures now follow the slope of the mountain as well.....I love it, still different from the surrounding textures but it seems more in context with the overall scene....THANKS! And under the right lighting conditions the glaciers still maintain an "icy" appearance.... WinterMAXX is really starting to become more than I imagined it could be....super duper excited about it2 points

Hey all, Took a bit of a break to refresh and start focused and motivated. Here is my latest image of WinterMAXX, about 97% done with the Pacific Northwest. Whatcha think?1 point

Hi guys, Just wanted to say hi and also to post a few screenshots of an amazing plane which was added to my hanger last weekend. It's the T34C Mentor by Javier Rollon and in my mind, one of the most amazing aircraft I've ever flown in a simulator; be it FSX or X-Plane. I know it's been out for a while; but hey, it takes me a while to catch up with things ! She's really an absolute joy to fly; so hats off to the developer and many thanks, because she really is that good! Hope you like the screenshots Dom http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440373/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440373/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440459/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440459/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440749/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440749/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483532262/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483532262/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440675/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482440675/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483530136/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483530136/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483529784/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483529784/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483529722/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8483529722/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482438323/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482438323/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482438275/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482438275/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482437745/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482437745/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482437637/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/41736044@N07/8482437637/'>T34CMentor by http://www.flickr.com/people/41736044@N07/'>domfliss, on Flickr1 point

So CDN 1194 and I have teamed up for CYTZ. He's doing some fantastic work at the Island Airport with Objects. Ive added a Toronto Replacement pack and CYYZ all in together now. It's really coming along.1 point

Well, that was all pretty, uh, weird. As someone once falsely labelled as Fake A, I was curious to hear today that he had finally been identified. (Although it had been so long since I logged on that I'd forgotten the password. Surprised the account is still here!) Cheers.1 point

The brightness of the screen and the lack of animations are just what they are, so no bugs on your side. Are you exactly following the tutorial flight? You need to be careful to really press the correct buttons in the correct order (esp. the inner and outer knobs are sometimes a bit tricky).1 point

The bash script that adds that line looks like this: for f in *.pol; doecho -e "\r\nSURFACE asphalt" >> $fdone Just tested on my MacOS machine in office. When I'm at home, I'll download win-bash and will try if adding the line to the .pol files has an effect.1 point

Have been a member of the org since 1999, been banned on & off for years. Things settled down as I aged and discovered to keep my mind from typing what I really feel.Works wonders and I still have resources to download and get updates. Cameron and me know all about what can happen when your passions get out of control on a keyboard. Oh well. Just another day, time to move along.1 point

I dont know how to make plane maker flight models, or animating, so this probably wont make it to X-Plane. I model this for practice only and texture experiments (For now)....1 point

This is what I've been working on for the last two months or so. Still some things are missing in the cockpit!1 point

0 out of 10 for doing it and hurting 3rd party x-plane developers in the process. Just what this community needs - another reason for developers to flee.1 point
