Had a flight from Nice to Oslo Gardermoen today.

Had a couple of issues. I used the co.route imported from Simbrief using the aerosoft airbus export.

Route: BASI6X BASIP Y15 ABN UM985 MONEB UN851 KEMAD UP605 HAM UM852 ALASA M852 ALS Z731 SABAK L997 LUNIP LUNI4M

Did some flightlevel changes under way. That resulted in som serious fps drops until I managed to press exec button.

Also making short cuts in the route led to fps drops below 1 until pressing the exec button.

The G.W. in the approach page does not update unless I go to the pref. page. Then gross weight and v-speeds are updated.

No crash during the flight. Also made a last minute runway change at Gardermoen because of 20kt variable tail wind on the planned runway.

Latest navdata from Navigraph.

Hope you get something out of this.

Loooooove the plane.

Good report, thanks!

Most of this stuff is known - we will have to figure out how to deal with the MOD framerate problem - it seems to depend wildly on some other parameters (are you running a virus scanner?)

Thanks for the nice words, they go "down like oil", like we say here in Germany :)

No virus scanner that I know of. Will check the default windows protection. It seems like the framerate drops when there is a lot of route ahead to be modified. At the end of a route the mod seems to work without frame rate drop.

Hi torgeir,

this seems to match our observations - whenever a route is in the MOD state, it gets recalculated continuously (so that it can take the moving airplane position into account). This places some load on the CPU and data access. We will see how we can alleviate that.

PS: some people reported windows defender to be a problem...

Turned off Windows defender and loaded a route from ENBR to LEPA. Did a series of step climbs and short cuts in the route and it computed without any lags. Thanks!

Yes turning off Windows Defender's scan of X-Plane folder works great.  Surely in the long run there must be a way to have the plugin not hit the file system so hard (I am guessing that is the issue) so that Windows Defender doesn't conflict, but for now it works fine this way.   :-)
