The animation on the airspeed indicator is bugged.

At speeds from 180-200 the needle animation reverses towards 0, suggesting to me that the final animation point is incorrectly set to 0 rather than max.

May I ask why you are flying the Duchess at 200 kts?

:o

It's not really a bug.  I programmed the gauge to stop at 200kts.  With the ASI dataref, the needle needs somewhere else to go if the airspeed continues to climb.  Since I locked it at 200kts, it starts reversing.  Easily fixed but I just never thought people would take it that fast.

:D

Vne (Never exceed speed) in the Duchess is 194 knots IIRC...

Which is only attainable in the real thing in a dive... during a hurricane  :o

HA!

That's exactly why I locked it at 200.  I gave it that 6 kt buffer.

BTW, as Jacoba said, the only way you can get that kind of speed in the sim is if you were in a steep dive (minus the hurricane...LOL)

The indicator starts reversing at 180 ias, not 200.

As in anything past 180 displays lower than 180, 190ish shows up very weird.

It's not like at rises normally to 194 and then acts strange past it.

Would appear more normal if at say 200, the needle maxes out rather than reverses. I assume that's how it would appear in the real a/c.
