mb339 Posted August 27, 2015 Author Report Posted August 27, 2015 I am still curious what valuable information provides you the radial without the ils chart? I have already explained. http://forums.x-pilot.com/topic/8225-ils-approach-wrong-on-local-map/?p=87620 If local map flashes ILS radial , the map must show approach radial information .It makes no sense flashing ILS radial, and show only airplane position information. I repeat ... FS2004, FSX, P3D, show always ILS radial information.Any map (on paper, or virtual) always show ILS radial. It is a standard representation. X-plane having the ILS on the map?Yes.Well ... the ILS on map must be represented with all information:- Identifier (example: LNT)- Class (example: ILS Cat-I).- Runway (example: 36R)- Frequency (example: 110.30)- And course (example 356°) This is the standard mode to represent ILS on maps, used all over the world. To be useful?Do not be useful? It's not important.A map must always represent ILS information, including true ILS course.Otherwise it is an incomplete map. mmerelles Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) ok got it. It doesn't matter if it is useful or not. You do not have any technical background on ils. It should be there because you see it on FS2004/P3D/FSX (which are all the same by the way) and you like it. I recommend you to open a feature request ticket to Laminar to explain them they must mimic MSFS because that is the world standard. Well ... the ILS on map must be represented with all information:- Identifier (example: LNT)- Class (example: ILS Cat-I).- Runway (example: 36R)- Frequency (example: 110.30)- And course (example 356°) This is the standard mode to represent ILS on maps, used all over the world. Entirely disagree, in the real life all that information is part of the ils procedure chart not a nav map. Edited August 27, 2015 by mmerelles 1 Quote
mb339 Posted August 27, 2015 Author Report Posted August 27, 2015 Can I ask you simple question? You believe xplane perfect? You believe has no defects? You believe some functions cannot be improved? Suppose one day Laminar includes ILS course information on the Local Map.This... It is better or worse? It is simulator value-added, or is simulator shame-added?Local Map is more complete, or is more incomplete?X-plane is more beautiful, or is more bad? It 's just a question. "You do not have any technical background on ils". You are sure? I did flight simulation for 25 years (especially IFR)I fly with: Maddog 2010, Level-D 767, Pmdg 747, Pmdg MD11, Airbus A3xx, RFP 747 classic with CIVA system, iFly 737NG, and now Saab 340 (x-plane IFR) and Carenado aircraft (x-plane VFR).My home is full of aeronautical maps (especially European).I say no more. Do not underestimate the proposals of your interlocutors, even if they seem strange. Are proposals to improve x-plane, not to worsen it.Maybe you don't like this. But someone else, yes. (sorry my english, i use google automatic translator) Quote
