kneighbour Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 On my last flight I lost one engine. Not sure why - first I knew was the Fuel warning light came on and then noticed one engine had died. There was plenty of fuel and in fact kept flying the rest of the flight on the one remaining engine. I attempted a midair restart on the dead engine, but nothing seemed to work. Since I do not know the procedure to restart in flight, perhaps I messed that up. In the end I turned on Autocoarsen and that seemed to help feather the dead engine. Speed dropped, but continued the flight. Actually, the Tutorial Flight in the manual. I guess I should have turned back.... Anyway, was wondering if anyone knows the proper procedure to restart an engine in flight, and failing that, to shut it down? I could have missed that section in the manual, if so would appreciate someone pointing it out to me if that is the case. Thanks. Quote
Goran_M Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I'll go through the AOM procedure in sim and, once verified, will have a checklist up for you soon. Quote
kneighbour Posted June 24, 2015 Author Report Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) Very much appreciated! If not too much trouble, would also appreciate the Engine Start procedure.... Edited June 24, 2015 by kneighbour Quote
