Goran_M Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I was busy testing some stuff in x-plane and occasionally I close x-plane and restart it with changes in graphics settings. I find that after I do this a few times, x-plane slows down quite a bit. The other day, I was on skype with Jason (Airbus) and I told him I was getting slow fps again. He told me to check that x-plane still was not running as a process. I told him it wasn't running at all. He said "Just check in the task manager that it isn't left behind!"Low and behold, there it was. 2 X-plane processes running at the same time after I closed the program. I started it again, and framerates were even lower.I'm not sure if this problem exists on a Mac but it sure does exist on Windows but it doesn't happen all the time. Whenever you run x-plane more than once in 1 day and without a computer restart, do a CTRL-ALT-DELETE and check x-plane is not running in the Processes Tab. If it is, click it and then click "End Process". This will take care of the majority of FPS problems you may have.Kudos to Jason for picking this up.Goran Quote
