bradrcfii Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 I have taken an interest in Flight Management Computers (x737-800) and Garmin1000 AFCS (X-Aviation Cessna Corvalis). I have purchased the FMC plugin for the x737 and have been able to create flight plans up to but not including the terminal procedures. Airports, navaids, fix's, ndb's etc. are in the database for both the x737 and Cessna Columbia 400 but no STARS, SIDS and approach procedures. Why? Am I missing something? Thanks, Brad Quote
Cameron Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 Brad,X-Plane data does not contain SIDs or STARs information, so this would explain the lack of the feature. However, the x737 FMC, when used with the purchasable Navigraph data does work with SIDs and STARs. The included manual with the x737 FMC details this. Quote
bradrcfii Posted June 23, 2010 Author Report Posted June 23, 2010 Thats right. I miss spoke. The x737 FMC does have SIDS and STARS. I wonder when when we will see approaches? Quote
woweezowee Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 STARS are the approaches. ???http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_terminal_arrival_route Quote
Cameron Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 STARS are the approaches. ???http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_terminal_arrival_routeHe's speaking of being able to select a SID or STAR straight from the X-Plane nav database into the FMS, rather than having to enter waypoint by waypoint.
