Colin S Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Have you ever woken up in the winter to snow, and been amazed by how bright it is? Me too. But I wish X-Plane could not be black as coal as soon as the sun sets. In reality, the moon and stars throw a LOT of light, and when you're flying at night over the snow-covered prairies (I have) they look spooky and illuminated. Is there any way to control the light levels at night? This screenshot was taken with gamma pumped up RIGHT after sunset. I wish it could always look like that at night, especially around cities, considering the amount of light that light pollution contributes to ambient light. Quote
sundog Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 X-Plane doesn't really simulate twilight or moonlight as far as I can tell. Clever manipulation of X-Plane's sky colors makes it possible to address though, to some extent. Sky Color X looks like it's worth checking out. Quote
