I have a question about the precipitation in SMP. Whenever I get into rainy weather, my FPS tanks by at least 10. From what I can tell, the rain system in SMP is about the same as the default XP rain, but the default rain barely impacted FPS. The precipitation textures are only about 4 KB each, and none of the shaders indicate that they control precip. What does SMP do when precipitation is present?

My GPU may be slightly outdated (MSI GTX 660 Ti 2GB), but considering that it runs X-Plane well with very high settings on all fronts, I'm surprised that it chokes on the precipitation.

Am I missing something?

Must have been a general display load issue then. I moved some settings around and things seemed to have cleared up; in facts, things look better than before.

Thanks, Cameron, for clearing that up.
